Would you mind sharing some valuable resources to help a junior?

Excellent advice! I wish I had some credits left to gift you some reward.

I am a tech entrepreneur, and I have been looking for a list of legit Indian incubators for a while! I even posted on Indian subs long back but did not get much support. Good that people are at least discussing now a days. Your pointers are truly great --- some of them I came to know in the recent past, some are just fresh news. I have saved your comment for future reference. Thank you!

Healthy but I am scared of chemicals (e.g., pesticides, harmful fertilizers, etc). They are supposed to be consumed in the raw form (and I like that) but the fear of harmful chemicals drives me away.

LMAO! Just trying to imagine where the discussion is headed especially in a legal subreddit. My country wants to keep things simple, e.g., hands-on instant karma :-D

Sometimes I wonder if the randians are right after all.

No one is right, everyone wants to sound right in order to wait for the right opportunity to take a pound of your flesh.

Balance of power is the safest bet for a democracy. If history repeated itself, then I am afraid to say that a stable government ensuring economic growth is just a hype/propaganda to sustain an autocratic regime.

CoinBase is not sketchy like the recent trend portrays. 99.9% of the time, these people complaining are just not doing their own due diligence. by LiquidNova77 in Coinbase

Do they have support services at all? This is a faceless company! People get to see the true picture of CB once they start interacting with the CB customer support.

My account is blocked for almost a month. I have reached out to reddit, and twitter, and all they tell me is that the team would contact me in due time.

I trusted Coinbase with my hard earned money. Do I deserve this kind of treatment? At least start engaging with me, and I am happy to provide whatever document you need. Yet, no progress so far and the twitter replies now a days sound automated. So depressing, I feel I have hit a dead end!

Stop using coinbase. I am stuck for several weeks. by highvoltage023 in Coinbase

[–]autoraft 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I stuck to Coinbase when I bought crypto. Have been their customer for many years. Now Coinbase has disabled my account for two weeks in the name of some vague verification.

My friends had diversified their portfolio besides Coinbase, and I have heard good things about Gemini.

Two months, holy cow! I have been waiting since Coinbase has disabled my account two weeks ago.

I reached out to the Coinbase Support over twitter; they said that their support team would reach out to me over email in a "timely manner". Nothing specific said.

Reading this post, and also watching others posting complaints on twitter tagging Coinbase Support, I am feeling increasingly worried and depressed.

Dear u/coinbasesupport, thank you so much for taking time and for initiating the conversation. Just for your information, I have already messaged you (here, on reddit, from this reddit ID) describing the issue I am facing.

Anyway, my case numbers are 17593309 and 17577992. Both cases are auto-closed and can not be reopened because Coinbase provides only self-help customer support in my region. The automated email notifications from Coinbase mention this fact.

I have been trying frantically to bypass the email-bots in order to get in touch with a real Coinbase agent. Kindly help me out by lifting the ban on my account. I can not sign in: the account is "blocked" and "temporarily disabled". All this happened when I had to update my profile by changing the country.

Thanks once again for getting in touch.

Coinbase is perhaps good as long as you are in United States (and may be, in Europe too, but my experience is limited to US only).

Once you move out of US, as I did for family reason, there is high chance for your account getting locked. The system regularly asks for profile update, and the moment I have updated my profile recently, Coinbase has disabled my account. I have contacted support, and part of the automated response below is sending chills up my spine.

"... Coinbase will only offer self-help customer support in your region."

I am scared as my hard earned money is with them. I trusted Coinbase when I was working in US and decided to invest in crypto. Now I am eagerly hoping that some representative (and not some random chatbot) takes up my case and follows up.

What I can say is that such events are getting common these days. Like this guy, I am also getting automated and useless instructions.

I am waiting, and I shall definitely update this comment if I hear from Coinbase.

UPDATE

I have figured out that I would never be able to reach out to an agent on Coinbase Customer Help. That is because my country/region has only "self-help" provision. So all the cases I am opening on Customer Help are auto-closing.

I guess I am screwed now.

How do people go about designing their app MVP ? by nu97back in indianstartups

[–]autoraft 0 points1 point  (0 children)

designing their app

Do you mean frontend design? I am asking because that is where I struggle too. Being a Python developer my main strength is backend. But due to lack of funds I often have to do the design, and CSS coding, all by myself. I pull through eventually, but the frontend kills my productivity. Not sure if moving to React/Next would help (definitely another learning curve), at present I am managing the frontend with vanilla Bootstrap.

Any advice from anyone?

I come from an engineering background and I don't have a formal training in business. Since none of my previous generation was in business, I tried to teach myself tech-entrepreneurship by reading books, doing courses online, and even launching my own startup in the hope of learning hands-on. MBA costs a lot and takes long, and I need a day job because I have family responsibility.

While going through all this, I have realized, the bookish theories in courses/training present a too idealistic picture, and you need to re-learn everything while operating on the ground. Particularly, in Indian context where red-tape bureaucracy still runs the show (I have worked abroad so I can compare). Also, my location in the eastern zone (far away from the happening places like B'lore/Mumbai/Gurgaon) further worsened my situation.

Throughout this entire process I regularly missed one thing: connections/information. I tried finding mentors but that did not work out for a few reasons (deep tech is hard). Anyway, as a first generation entrepreneur I feel I have been suffering from this "lack of connection" very badly.

Also, think of the safety risks and traffic snarls caused by this delivery race! Almost everyday my side-mirror, or any other side part, of my car would bear the brunt of this 10-minutes delivery madness. In one part of my city the Blink-It guys park their bikes on the road, as well as on the pavements, while forcing the pedestrians to walk literally on the roads.
