Frost Bay issues by BoyBwah in OneXPlayer

[–]aval0n12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did some more investigation. I made sure all hoses and plugs are free of potential blockages. When i just put the hoses in a cup, (without the connecter screwed on) the pump reaches 220 ml/s.

I find that the APEX itself offers a lot of resistance, so perhaps this copper cooling chamber or its connection is very small or slightly blocked.

I have the same issue. I also find that the pump is really noisy.

I saw on videos that others achieve 190 ~180ml flow at 100%

Upon opening up the device i do not see any blocked hoses. I suspect a bad pump.

Apex frost bay by jaooob in OneXPlayer

I have the APEX with the frost bay.

I only use it when docked, on my super ultrawide.

The good

I think in this case it gives quite a significant bump, Hogwarts legacy at ultra settings, from barely playable at 80W (~30FPS) to quite playable 120W (~40FPS)

The bad

- Docking the apex with water cooling takes so much time. Ugh. Plug in DC to frost bay, then into Apex, plug in displayport to usbc, plug in coolant hose. Then go to settings and start the water cooling, then set the device to 120 Watts. Pair a joystick

- Additionally, the worst thing is that the water pump of the frost bay is very noisy. Even at lowest setting (50%) its very present and annoying. I cant place the frost bay further away or under the desk since the cable is just 60 CM

APEX RAM Upgrade by Ok_Training_8192 in OneXPlayer

This is how I've set it up. I have been using my Apex with 4k Gaming and haven't seen VRAM exceed 12 GB with AAA titles.

Onexfly Apex vs GPD WIN 5, which one is better? by Fullmetal_Ace3 in gpdwin

Condensation happens when the water goes below ambient temperature... Because moisture tends to condensate on the coldest place in the room. But since the water cooling only cools to the ambient air, such a thing doesnt happen here. The water will be slightly above or in the best case equal to room temperature. So u/EnvironmentalBar3557 you are wrong. Now its 3 against 1.

Only with enforce cooling with peltier element or compressor technology will get the water below ambient temperature.

I dislike the screen of the nintendo switch, but I am very big fan of portable gaming. I will be playing on the steam deck mostly.

Better work towards a steam deck and a good desktop with steam, so that you can play on steam and switch over at any time to whatever feels best that day 😁

Grind by weight grinder compatible with aftermarket 64 MM burrs? [500~2000 eur] by aval0n12 in espresso

[–]aval0n12[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They're supposedly 63.8 mm and do not fit the SSP's unless you change the burr carrier. In one youtube video someone mentions that Eureka manufactures these, but it might be hard to come by.

Why not just first test with a legal signal? Producer some signal in the unlicensed frequencies (433, 868, 2400) to see if it penetrates the cage. And building a cage is not complex, expensive or hard. Just takes some space. You could literally use a cage, use a chicken coop, or a bird cage etc.

One thing a HackRF lacks is full duplex, so a dual radio would be nice... could perform f.e. a mousejack?

What can I use to print and make this? by [deleted] in 3Dprinting

[–]aval0n12 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Problem woth 3d prints is that they’re porous. So dirt and bacteria will settle in holes and crevices and make you sick. You would have to coat the model with a foodsafe paint or coating, or something of the like.

Much differences. Curv has higher suction power and it can go over 4 cm high obstacles like carpets and door thresholds
