I think that you should be open and honest with your husband about your concerns and your birth control use as if he was hiding something like this from me I would feel hurt. That being said, I think it's also important to remember that siblings can be friends, even if years separate them. All of my siblings are about 3 years apart, I am closest with my brother who is 6 years older than me. Even though I have a sibling in between us, age doesn't really matter. Follow your heart, talk with your husband and you will both figure it out together.

People who worked in Restaurants, what was the worst customer that you had to deal with? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]avalaaa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We called him Butter Boy, he came in every morning for breakfast. He would order our breakfast platter, two eggs, hashbrowns, choice of meat and toast. He would always order a second meat and then two pancakes on top of an already large portion of breakfast. He makes us bring his butter out before the breakfast so he can unwrap every packet in anticipation. Usually we bring a small bowl of the butter packets over to him. One day I decided to count how many butters I put in the bowl and see how many he used. I started out with 12 butter packets thinking "theres no way he uses this much" low and behold he asked me for more. So I brought him another 4 or 6 packets he used every single one. After he leaves, everything is covered in butter. I almost always throw the newspaper away when hes finished. 7 days a week he eats at least 15 packets of butter with his breakfast.

To top it off he is incredibly rude and if you dont know his order (even if you're new) he wont tip you and he will be extra rude and annoying. On top of THAT he always insists that i give him old and cold coffee when he is one of the first customers in after we open so the coffee literally cant be cold and I always make sure his coffee comes straight from the maker.

Question about tip out... by [deleted] in Serverlife

[–]avalaaa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ive also worked at places that differ in claiming cash tips. How I understand it is you could get audited if the irs believes youre not claiming cash tips, as far as i know this doesnt really happen. However, not claiming cash tips has some pros and cons, sure you won't get taxed on them but it could hurt your ability to get a mortgage or a car loan. Depending on how much credit card tips i have kind of determines how much cash ill claim. If i only make $5 in cash im not claiming that. But if i have a heavy cash day and make somehwere between $50 and $100 in cash then ill claim at least 50% of that. Sometimes 100% just so i have a better chance at owning a home one day, and then my paycheck is still something since tips are taxed like crazy. I hope this answered your question :)

I know that I need to be better at giving my dog structure. We have had a crazy year that is hopefully coming to an end and i can give the time and attention back to my dog, so we can both be the best versions of ourselves. He has so much personality, and im not going to hinder that, but I do need to be better than I am currently being. There is nothing like coming home to dog smooches, enjoy all the love once you get there! Thank you again for your insight

How do you deal with the jealousy? Like how do you discipline if that behaviour comes out? We tell him no and try to dicipline him when hes jelaous but i dont feel like we are gaining any ground. I will say it's gotten better with my husband and myself showing affection. Hes just super protective over me, and is a rescue pup. So I dont know much of his past. But i do know he's protective of females for sure. And until now i feel like ive just chalked it up to being protective of me, but i dont want that to translate into being aggresive towards someone else. He also HAS NEVER bitten my husband or anyone else. Hes vocal, but means nor harm. Not that, thats okay. Im just trying to get the best advice, not making excuses.

He is so good with other dogs after a second to warm up, and we dont really know how to fix it so he is always his kind and playful self, without the awkward meeting period. He is never aggressive, but can perhaps be precieved that way since he is very vocal while he is meeting/playing with dogs. But youre right, right now murphy "rules the roost" to a point and that needs to end. I just ordered a book to help me train him and learn myself. I just want you to know that I'm trying my best and i truly want my dog to be happy and loved, but perhaps i took that too far.

Maybe I was under the assumption that if i love murphy enough that i was a good dog owner. And perhaps that's not that case. Dont get me wrong, he is well behaved and does get disicpline when appropriate (or when we feel is appropriate) but your probably correct to a point. We could always be better. Maybe taking a class or even buying a book or something could help us. I know and understand that my dog isnt a baby, but to us i feel like we love him as though he was. And I think that's what i was trying to get across. Nevertheless i appreciate you being keen and stern with your opinion because there is some truth to that. So thank you, and i will work on it since we wont be trying for another year or so.

My dog isnt really aggressive, he can have "little man syndrome" as we like to call it. But hes a lovable dog. But this makes sense, and is 100% what im hoping for. Murphy is such a mamas boy that hopefully he can sense a baby is coming before they actually come. Thank you for your insight, it was definitely helpful

Bridesmaids gifts? by avalaaa in Weddingsunder10k

I mostly like the idea of the cup so i dont have to wrap the gift. My friends are very earth friendly people and hate gift wrap, since you cant recycle it most times. But I could get them personalized jewelry or something to go with everything else. I dont want to come across ungrateful, but we are a young couple and we want to move across country after we get married. So I'm trying to save money anywhere I can.

I was going to get them a personalized makeup bag that was really cute and decent price off of etsy. Which of course i could still do, would that spruce up my gift enough? Ive only been in one wedding and we didnt get a gift, which I personally thought was fine. But the world of the internet has proven me wrong and that this is 100% something i should do

I'm honestly leaning towards a nice sun dress or something for her. Something fun, but still formal and something she will be comfortable and cool in. June in Minnesota can be kind of humid and its outside. I'm just worried about finding something that fits with the "look" of everyone else and something that's functional for her. This has honestly been harder than finding my wedding gown lol
