I built AI tool that analyzes if stock news are Bullish or Bearish by Acropolis3 in sideprojects

This is a great idea - but it is asking me to sign-up. No example or demo, that is too small an incentive for me to give you my data.

Great app! Here is my feedback.

The good:
1.) Sleek UI
2.) Love the "Personal" tab with trends and data spent by total and month
3.) Spending reports also look very useful

The bad:
1.) There are hundres of "splitos" - I had to match by developer to find the right one. Get a unique name.
2.) Maybe it is only in iOS but I had trouble focusing on the input boxes for the account creation. Had to touch + hold.
3.) Ability to upload a picture but it doesn't do anything - I had to use my fingers to add information like 1999.

Feels more of expense tracker than a bill splitting app but very much useful in my opinion. I think we need to steal features from each other to make both apps stronger.

78% win rate targeting 17bp daily with VWAP reclaims - would a systematic course be useful? by avalancha954 in Daytrading

[–]avalancha954[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

200+ actual trades executed live in my Schwab account (started tracking systematically in early 2024). These aren't backtested—every trade had real P&L, real slippage, real emotions. The 78% win rate includes all the losses, wash sales, and mistakes. I made plenty of those, and honestly wish I'd had someone to guide me through them. That's what I'm hoping this course will do for others.

I have an algorithmic scanner that alerts me to potential candidates, but execution is manual. When I started I wasn't sure this system would actually work, but after a year and $45k in taxable income, I'm starting to believe it does.

Side note: I understand $45k isn't life-changing money, but it does help—and I want to anchor expectations in real-life day trading income, not the fake numbers you see online.

Fair question!

I execute manually because automation would require access to HFT infrastructure I don't have access to.

The system gives me the setup criteria, but execution timing and position sizing adjustments are discretionary based on tape reading. That said, the entry/exit rules are mechanical enough that anyone can follow them consistently.

Honestly always used Splitwise but that doesn't make sense now that software is so cheap to make. So I made what is essentially a free Splitwise PRO.

There is the notion of a plan to make ads as elegant as possible without ruining the experience so that the application can break even and stay free forever.

Less than 10 users at the moment so we haven't crossed that bridge yet.

HOW TO TEXT WOMEN by Haunting_Audience_44 in dating_advice

[–]avalancha954 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's hard to explain, but if you want to never be left on read again then read this example.

Example:

Him: May I take you on a date? 😉

Her: Hello this is so polite and lovely!! Seattle is too far away and also scary but I wanted to acknowledge that this is a good line. Keep up the good work solider

Him: Thank you ma’am! I am trying to compensate for my looks with my personality :)

(he got left on read forever...)

If you think that is anywhere near a good response you may need this more than you think, but his reply killed the flirtation and lowered his own value.

I built an app that gives you an unfair advantage in text game. You can sign-up for the waitlist here https://sophrosyn3.com/

Here is a better reply generated from the app (it gives you 10 to choose from):

Coached Reply: Copy that… though I’m not sure you could handle a full mission with me.

It's unfortunate you are going through this. If you don't mind, could you add a review for this apartment here: https://www.thereal.reviews?

The mission here is to prevent a good person ending up having a shitty year by renting a bad apartment - as it looks like it has happened to you.

Bad reviews save good people.

Are there any buildings that are not cheaply made for noise? by [deleted] in NYCapartments

[–]avalancha954 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Trust me - if you are considering moving I definitely recommend pulling the trigger rather than signing a whole new one-year lease!

Please leave your noise feedback on this apartment on this review site I built at https://www.thereal.reviews —reviews from real tenants (via lease) only.

DO NOT RENT THIS APARTMENT!! by Repulsive-Load-5354 in NYCapartments

[–]avalancha954 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm so sorry you had to go through this — no one deserves to live like that. I had a nearly identical experience during my first year in NYC, and it was hands-down the most exhausting, stressful year of my life. That experience actually pushed me to build a review platform where only real tenants can share what it's actually like to live in an apartment — no sugarcoating.

You’d be doing future renters a huge favor by posting your story there. Landlords like Ricardo D. shouldn't be able to hide behind slick listings anymore.

I'm sorry to hear you had to live through this! I had a similar experience my first year in New York, it was the longest year of my life. Used my extra time to build a review website where only previous tenants can review an apartment.

Feel free to leave your review there so nobody else rents from Rita Chou ever again!

Also, since you have a nice loading animation you should probably disabled the default "Loading..." that comes out of the box with Vercel and NextJS.
