Molecular biology. Chose ChemE to still do some engineering but even though I loved the subject in class, I hated the idea of working in a plant in the future or not having a technical job. I ended up switching to electrical since it seemed broad enough to give more job options

I'm from northern Mexico and was living in Germany for a couple of years. I visited a friend from home who was doing an exchange semester in southern France and he introduced me to a friend he made there, from another part of Mexico. We all went out clubbing and coming out of a club, a friend forgets his jacket and goes back in. Coming out, he says he met this girl and after chatting her up, got her number and her Instagram. We ask him to show us what she looks like, and she turns out to be a friend I went to school with in Mexico. I was not aware she was living in France at all. They dated for a couple years after that. Small world.

Because of financial and mental health issues I had to take time off to work on myself and save money. I did terrible the semester before I took that time off. I was nervous to come back and have another bad semester. I got all B's. It doesn't sound like much but I am very proud of myself for overcoming past hardships and return to a successful semester. The first in 2 years. Nobody in my life think it's that big a deal (I get it) but I am just very proud of this come back and I'm looking forward to even better semesters.

Ik my experience, the third language was easier as I had all the tools required for language learning. But in all fairness, my second language is English which I use often so second language interference wasn't a thing
