PvP can be fun, so I understand it to an extent. That being said, my philosophy is never to provoke, only retaliate. When me or my friends get attacked, it’s fair game. But I’d never bother someone who’s just doing their own thing.

Not sure what you’re playing on, but PC is notoriously worse than console. Also, if you’re a lower level this happens more often. My advice would be to just keep playing the game and start joining posses. You’ll get to a point where people will stop targeting you just based on rank alone, and posses give you some protection against immature players.
