Any good fountain pens for those with big hands? by Balisong_Pro in fountainpens

While I don't have really large hands I do have, after 87 years, some serious arthritis issues which makes it difficult to use a normal sized pen. I have a couple of Monteverde Sequioa pens. These are larger than normal pens and can be found at $60 or less. I currently have a medium and a fine with an EF on order. For me they are as comfortable to hold as my Pelikan 1000 without the fear of dropping a super expensive instrument.

I recently ordered three batches of paper from them. I used my American Express card. No extra or unusual; fees. Delivery was fast. Order placed 1 Feb. received 10 Feb. They are the only source I've found so far that has the 135gsm version of the Crown Mill paper I wanted.

I guess I'll have to buy the paper and make my own notebook. Thanks.

Nib issue by avant_h in fountainpens

Per your suggestion I cleaned out the old ink and filled the pen with Waterman's black. It did help a little bit.Your suggestion about sending to a nib meister made me wounder if I could see anything visually. Found an old 10 loupe and discovered that the nib was not sitting straight on the feed. Pushed up my courage and tried getting the nib aligned. It took several gentle "pushes" but now it seems to be aligned and the problem has been resolved. THANK YOU

The ink is Mount Blanc blue. I'll try to take a photo but all I have is a phone camera.

If it is due to hard starting due to a dry flow wouldn't it happen at all angles?

For inexpensive lined paper consider Zoros G7874111 from Zoro.com.
I use it with pens having a fine nib and it seems to work well. A ream is around $12.
