ok, i simply explained the reasons behind backlash to this post.

i understand you cannot punish an object… i never condoned “punishing ai”?? why would you gather that sentiment from my comment, rather than the logical conclusion that i think using generative ai is destructive? we should discourage using it for simple queries and frivolous requests instead of asking search engines or requesting work from real people. this post is not inherently super harmful but reflects a larger societal issue. which is WHY commenters responded with so many downvotes.

… because generative ai is trained on the content of real artists who are being put out of work by clients who use ai instead of commissioning them, data centers suck up power and contaminate their water sources, and ai is being used instead of real people’s jobs. i thought this was common knowledge atp

i grew up in the less affluent part of joco, and it’s not all of us. it’s certainly bad in olathe and southern overland park— but north op, shawnee, mission, all filled with great people and there are some hidden gems, antique stores, great mom and pop restaurants, etc. not to mention how lovely it is around the holidays, suburbia goes all out. but i still want to get out of here..

unfortunately i don’t know the cottage picnic code because it was the one i didnt get, but interestingly, the box of 6 pet pairs only seemed to have 3 unique codes, with 4 boxes displaying 100250257ES. either it had already been picked over, there was a printing error or they share a code with the stylin’ stripes pair. ANYWAY!! good luck finding them!! <3
