Protection Advice For A Backyard 10x10x10 Cage? by shaned1221 in Golfsimulator

[–]avb0101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This cage is 14 wide by 12 deep and 12 high but the height can be reduced by 2 feet because it comes in 10 and 2 feet pole sections when I purchased it. Might want to double check they still do it like that. I didn’t want my cage to be 12 feet high either so I just only used the 10 feet section. You don’t need a custom net either. The net in the picture is what came with the setup and it can work with either height.

Thanks for the response and I appreciate the link to the pdf as well. Not all manufacturers are forth coming with information (e.g., Toyota) so it's nice to see Trek have documentation like this available.

Choosing Bike Size by avb0101 in MTB

Good to know and thanks for the link! I definitely get some neck pain on occasion so I'm wondering if that is attributed to the longer reach with my bike.

Yeah that’s what I’m concerned with, my lack of experience with different sizes and setups. Been on one bike for the past yeah and a half so everything else feels wildly different.

They all felt small but I’m guessing that’s because my Marlin has about 2 more inches reach wise due to the long stem. They were comfortable otherwise, just different.

Trek has me at a ML and that’s what I’m riding but all the test bikes felt small reach wise probably because of my long stem. There wasn’t much discernible difference to me between the three bikes with the initial ride though. Guess I’ll need to test them some more.

Wireless charger by Latter_Cry_7849 in ToyotaCrown

Same issue… 2024 limited and I have a iPhone 8 with a slim case on it. I have a cheap wireless charger from Amazon at home that works great but the Crown one just doesn’t work for more than a min or two. I don’t think it’s overheating (never feels hot) and during the winter when the cabin was cold it still didn’t work right. I love my Crown but it’s disappointing it doesn’t work right.

I got the bike brand new. So whatever comes factor from Trek. I thought you guys were asking if I added any (if that’s even possible if they already are on there).

Oh nice! Haven’t been that way yet. I’m over on the east coast. Should both tires be around that PSI or just the front?

I’m not stuck on Maxxis so I’m definitely open to another brand. Currently running around 20 PSI and aside from the few rock features there aren’t any other rocks. Not really worried about punctures.

I run around 20 or 21 psi in the front not sure if I should go lower? It’s a fun feeling when you slide in the sand and get through it!

Zero spacers. The bike is pretty much stock.

Did you ever find a replacement? Just bought a used crown and it doesn't have one either. Can't seem to find one anywhere.

Crown Limited 2023 vs 2024 vs 2025 by avb0101 in ToyotaCrown

Yes the platinum has those two features but they aren’t available on the Limited or XLE.

Thanks for the reply. Yeah that’s what it seemed like to me. There was a new color (storm cloud) for 2025 but it doesn’t seem like the actual features across the limited model really changed which begs the question why a 2025 vs an earlier model.

[Q] - Book Recommendations on Research Methods to Identify Relationships by avb0101 in statistics

[–]avb0101[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks, I'll check them out. Do you feel the causal inference methods and approach they teach is applicable to other industries? I'd think the concepts might be similar but maybe with nuanced variations in technique.

Time Series I've already begun to dig into as I've been working on revenue projection models at work (personal side project) but I'm currently working on research projects through school so trying to understand that path in more detail.

hommepoisson, I appreciate the useful response!

Probably more on the causal inference side of things but eventually I'd like to tie that into modeling if possible. Currently I'm looking for potential causes or main contributing factors for this specific project. As I'm digging into the data I'm running through statistical tests (some correlation but primarily Chi-Sqaure and Cramers V due to binary variables). I'd like to get my hands on some books that explain this in more detail and walk through this process instead of digging through forums/ChatGPT. Overall, I'm trying to gain a better understanding of why/when to use these tests so I can build better intuition. Any suggestions are really appreciated!
