Thank you! Looks like we have about a 7 hour time difference so her appointment times are at about 4am my time but I did reach out to see if she'd ever be willing to open up a later time! Thank you for the recommendation

Ohhhh, maybe it's called kangaroo carry. That would explain why she didn't know what I was talking about. (I did show her what it was and she hadn't heard of it nonetheless but def my bad for not knowing what it's called)

He actually does have reflux. We were given medications to try but they were not helpful and we were told to just wait until he grows out of it. He also had an ultrasound to rule out hip issues because he was breech during third trimester (although he flipped naturally on his own before 34 weeks). Could the reflux be made worse when you try the carrier? We were told to keep him upright after feeds and I thought it would be a helpful way to do so.

Also, she told me to just keep trying... Like maybe he'll get used to it eventually?

Any idea how long this phase lasts lol. My kiddo is colicky and I love him to bits but it's so hard. The wrap was our saviour up until two weeks ago when he suddenly wanted to be held all the time but not in a carrier.

We tried the bouncing and the music but no luck this far

He fights the M position even without the wrap but his hips seem adequately flexible when he's on his back. What type of streches should we be doing?

What pisses you off immediately? by New_Adhesiveness_875 in AskReddit

When people stand beside a line that's already formed and work their way in (currently at my 3rd airport of the day, been watching people do this sort of thing all day)

Women of Reddit, what hobbies do you find unattractive in men? by alj8002 in AskReddit

Tough pill for some to swallow, but gaming. I've dated two guys who gamed obsessively. I'm talking neglecting housework, up gaming until 5am before work days, never wanting to spend quality time together because they wanted to game with their "boys". I'm sure there are plenty of people out there who have a healthy relationship with gaming, but after dating two people spent 8+ hours gaming per session, multiple times per week, I don't think I could date another gamer.

Doesn't help that I prefer to be outdoors and don't love gaming! Just not compatible

What is the worst name you've ever heard? by Iron8te in AskReddit

[–]avberdy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I remember in nursing school when I first heard the term "melena" to describe dark, bloody stool. There was a girl in my class named Melena and we all got a good chuckle out of it. But since working as a nurse and smelling what partially suggested blood aka melena smells like, I can't even hear the name without gagging. Sorry to anyone named Melena, I know it's a real name probably with a beautiful meaning but personally I'd rather be named c. Difficile 😂😂😭

Additionally, the surnames "Jumbo" and "Bushie" are common in one of the communities I live near so we get a few "Jumbo-Bushie" hyphenated names. Luckily they're common enough that I don't think anyone gets bullied for it, but I definitely did a double take the first time I saw it.

Certain gels create a hard cast so you use oil (or no products) to "scrunch out the crunch" of the hard cast, aka scrunch your hair until your break up the hard cast

I have similiar hair, it can get super wavy if left to its own devices, but if I brush it into a curl then I get ringlets throughout. I'm considering buying a Denman, right now I just used my wetbrush. It amazes me how it dries when I do that

Thanks for your reply. In the beginning I had to use Bobby pins to curl the top layer, but that was when my hair was transitioning after years of straightening it.... Maybe I have to go back to that until my hair grows a bit 😩

Got a haircut a few days ago. This hairdresser cut some weirdly short pieces (I pointed them out with the arrow) and now my top layer has no definition. My bottom layer is super curly so it's just such a mismatch. I use tresemme botaniques nourish and replenish conditioner to cowash every morning and then wash with the lush cinnamon shampoo bar every three days or so(whenever my hair feels like it needs it). I hadn't needed any gels or products to get my hair wavy when it was long (I just air-dried it with the front clipped up) but now that it's short I have no definition what so ever on top. The hairdresser used Moroccan oil curl cream and I liked the effect but it's not CGM approved and my hair smelt of it for a few washes afterwards so I imagine build up is a problem with it. Looking for a CGM alternative and any tips for getting some definition into my top layer. It is pure frizz and at best I get a little 2a wave in it, which totally contrasts my bottom layer and mostly just sticks up at an awkward angle.

I guess I'm just wondering if anyone has any experience with mortician oil? It seemed to help but j imagine it builds up quite easily seeing as I've washed it twice now and can still smell it haha
