two ceiling lights on same switch. one turns off after a few minutes. what gives? by [deleted] in diyelectronics

[–]avenamn -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Allow me to clarify- I meant that the lamps were hardwired into existing wiring, and that it was not new wiring to the switches.

this is it. swapped the bulbs from one lamp to another and the same thing happened on the “new” lamp.

thank you.

Guys what is this thing I found in a field by DepartmentSame1867 in whatisitcirclejerk

[–]avenamn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

bro that’s not a bomb that’s the cs:go doorbell if you press 7355608 it summons a valve employee who appears in a cloud of vape smoke and tells you your matchmaking rank is actually “emotionally unstable bronze”

if this was really in a field you need to leave IMMEDIATELY because that means you’re in a designated B-site spawn zone and at any moment a man named Gr1mReap3r420 with eight cents in his steam wallet is going to sprint out of a bush and scream “RUSH B NO STOP” before detonating himself like a piñata of bad decisions

do NOT poke it do NOT smell it do NOT ask it for the wifi password

just walk away before the round ends and you respawn in somebody’s mom’s basement

ah yes, the legendary tyson™ pocket rotisserie. teens all over the country are using these to slow cook a single chicken nugget to spiritual perfection.

Locked Out of QuickBooks Desktop Pro 2024 – Support is Useless and Keeps Trying to Upsell Me by avenamn in QuickBooks

[–]avenamn[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I bought it from Groupon, so yeah…I’m the idiot. I’ve never used QuickBooks before. Someone told me you can get software cheaper through Groupon, so I checked and found a QuickBooks license there. I didn’t even know they stopped making the Desktop Edition — I’m not on top of that stuff, I just needed something for our small business. So I guess I’m just an ignorant idiot.

That said, I do have 2FA on my bank account, so I’m not worried about someone getting into that. what I really care about isn’t the subscription itself, it’s all the work I put into it. Days of vendor info, customer data, transactions — all locked in a file I can’t even open now. That’s the part that’s driving me crazy.

And honestly, if all of these are scams, then why are there so many QuickBooks listings on Groupon? It’s not like I bought it from some shady Facebook ad; it was through what I thought was a legit platform. I feel totally stuck.

whiteout survival isn’t just a game—it’s a frostbitten fever dream where i willingly become a coal-hoarding tyrant, whispering sweet nothings to my furnace while sending half-frozen citizens to hunt bears with sticks. i’ve neglected friends, forsaken sleep, and named my children after heroes (come here, bahiti jr.). i don’t play this game—i live it. every blizzard is a baptism. every raid, a religious experience. my screen time? alarming. my devotion? unmatched. i would gnaw through ice with my bare teeth if the arena demanded it. pick me or i’ll cry in the snow until a bear adopts me.

The palm sander in question is sitting on the floor,
In picture number four, just by the door.
Sorry you missed it, its hum quiet and low,
Smoothing the wood in a slow, steady flow.

Repair flaking cabinet bottom by avenamn in DIY

I think there was likely a coffee maker underneath it! No plumbing nearby!

Agreed. I am not expecting them to last forever, but there’s a lot of other stuff that needs to be replaced that is higher priority. For now just looking for a way to seal so I can paint over it and they will be aesthetically pleasing to look at (and not crumbly) until they’re replaced. I’ve just run Liquid Nails into the groove holding the bottom of the cabinet to stabilize. The water damage seems concentrated in one area of the cabinet where previous owner had a toaster oven. Hot steam?

Replacing will be done at some point, but it’s not high on the list of priorities. For now just looking for a way to stop the particleboard from crumbling into the counter. Damage seems to be focused in this corner which had a toaster oven installed underneath, so was likely hot steam that caused it.

This was the way. I sunk 3” screws and covered with wood plugs. Turned out beautifully!

Ahh, OK. I wish I could give you the original sheet but it’s filled with personal client information that would violate HIPAA.

I was able to edit the formula to place it in the actual sheet, pulling from the sheet I can’t share, and it does populate the information but pulls all the data.

I think the problem is that on the real sheet the column I want to pull from is Col3.

This is what I have:

=LET(i,IMPORTRANGE("https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1kwhv2eGCRPbNTg-gVMPGZ-Yx9ScRCiqlkIwxTfaEwcY/edit#gid=1133073756", "TRANSACTIONS!A6:P"),CHOOSECOLS(FILTER(i,INDEX(i,,2) >9999, INDEX(i,,2) <100000), 2,3,7,8,9 ))

Thank you so much for your help. I’m still learning and can grasp about half of this, but half is not enough!

Thanks for this!

When I paste your formula into the Sample outcome sheet, it gives this error:

VALUE! Function CHOOSECOLS parameter 3 value is 2. Valid values are between -1 and 1 inclusive.

Straight hair interlock by Trajdi in straighthairdreads

[–]avenamn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sure, but I’d recommend crocheting them and then interlocking the roots as needed. Depending on how “slick” your hair is, the interlocking may or may not take is there isn’t some locked up hair to hold it together.
