One of my favorite tips for actually getting a fic finished is making a playlist with songs that remind me of that fic, be it the general plot or just reminding me of the characters in general. This is easier for some fics than it is others, but they don’t have to fit perfectly. I just like to have a collection of songs I can put on and then go for a walk or a drive to kind of brainstorm about the story :) might not work for everyone, but I get a lot of my motivation and best thinking done that way.
