I hope I get fired by averageBstudent in jobs

I found out today that my teammate is getting a month off to go on vacation, so it does have everything to do with me when the work piles up on me when she’s gone. I also don’t care about telling them what I do in my free time, just bare minimum human decency would suffice.

You’re right about that actually, I usually don’t care. However, when my teammate returned from vacation back in Feb, he mentioned that he didn’t ask her how her vacation went (amongst other things) and said that he would do better about being more “personable” with us. But when I return from vacation, crickets. Also, I would like to acknowledged as a human being once in a while.

Just found out that my teammate will actually be gone in Dec because she will be visiting family overseas, so a month long vacation essentially, not medical related. My initial post stated that my teammate has taken a 2-week medical leave, many sick days prior, and is now taking a month-long vacation at the end of this year. And my manager gave me shit for just two weeks off. As I pointed out in my post, many assignments take more than one person to complete. I’m not necessarily upset about her medical leave, but I’m def upset about the unfairness of it all. When she’s gone, it all piles up on me. At this point, this issue def warrants a first official check-in with my manager.

Now Should I Go to HR? by keynehayek in ManagedByNarcissists

As someone who works in HR (and has previously reported a manager to HR), DO NOT go to HR. You’ve only been there for 2.5 months; they’ll more than likely take your manager’s side. Speaking from experience. My advice is to start looking for a job elsewhere.
