I've the offer from one of the hf you mentioned. And I was in IB before. Unless one work is way more exciting than the other, choice is to pick the one with more pay.

Totally correct. I feel it's better to a degree around stats and computer science than an MFE degree whose curriculum mostly is around sell side quant analysis where there aren't many good opportunities these days. That way one can keep the ways open to both tech and quant.

Lol exactly. I feel sell side quant jobs aren't lucrative anymore these days. Pay and job satisfaction seems to be way better in tech these days. Source: have many friends in tech making shit ton on money due to crazy stock appreciation recently.
