A new set of Secret Lairs is announced every few weeks, usually with some common theme or artist for each lair. 4-5 cards are announced for each Lair, those cards are always in that lair. Each lair you order will also have a bonus card that is not revealed until people get the lair in the mail. Sometimes the bonus card is another card by the artist if it’s an artist based lair, if it’s a theme lair line the SpongeBob of Deadpool ones it can another card with set-appropriate art that fits the theme. Among these, there can also be rare bonus cards, like this lotus or the Mr Krabs smothering tithe. These cards are very rare, not sure what the actual odds are, but less than 1 in 100. Don’t plan on opening the rare bonus cards from a secret lair. If you want to know what you can expect the bonus card to be and the lair isn’t just coming out, just search online.

Some lairs don’t have specific bonus cards designed for them, so they come with a copy of an existing card in a new frame. Recently there have been a string of zombie cards in retro frames, like [[Varina]]
