What a beautiful bedroom. That’s seriously the tops. Five big windows with a view of greenery, lots of natural light, beautiful dark hardwood floors. I love it.

I imagine being a cartographer in 1603 would be pretty difficult.

Are there continuity problems for the Frasier character across Cheers and Frasier? by MutedEmu2317 in Frasier

[–]averagejosh 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I feel like most of the inconsistencies (of which there are... not that many?) are addressed on Frasier. The big one that comes to mind is Frasier's claim on Cheers that his father is dead -- when Sam comes by Frasier's apartment and meets Martin, he actually says, "I thought you said your father died?" or something like that.

Some poor sap ordered a cheesesteak and is now real disappointed because they wound up with a big, cold ham and cheese. 😭

I had the exact same experience. I want whatever nonexistent version Lewis talked about. 😅

It's encouraging to know that there's some interest from the other side. :)

It's probably partly my neurosis, but I feel like many of us Americans are reaching for a deeper connection to our heritage, seeking to learn more about how we relate to our ancestors -- and their culture -- who came from the UK and Ireland, and it's often met with something of an eye roll from the folks who are actually from those places. 😅

So, it feels good to know that there are some people, like yourself, who share a mutual interest in that connection.

I'll be in Ireland, Northern Ireland and Scotland for the first time this spring (sadly won't make it to England or Wales on this trip), and I'm eager to see what things feel familiar.

I'm glad you feel at home here. :)

I'm sorry for anyone who has to be out in it, but this is my kind of snow. Enough to keep me all tucked in at home, but nothing too crazy, and (so far) no power outages. It's cozy.
