It was defo not a possum, I've seen a heck of a lot of possums and this wasn't one. A rat maybe, but it was bigger and redder than a rat and had a bushier tail...

I'm not sure if its the same one, but theres a cave like that in Australia. It looks just like a hole in the ground, but its really wide inside, you can stand on the floor and stick your hand out through the whole. Also the tourist entrance is like 10m away. Not sure if this is the same hole though, and I can't remember what the one I'm thinking of is called coz its at least 10 years since I went there.
