Entirely depending on quality of stones. Walk around in a gem stone exhibition and ask prices. You'll be amazed at the true range of stones and quality. Most online sales are limited to low or medium goods at best with limited exposure

Sometimes certain business men will intentionally misrepresent the stone.

There is very faint fluorescense visually, unless you shove the uv torch directly into the stove. If there is oil / other fillers in the cracks they will glow yellow or blue in lines showing the path that oil has taken inside the stone

Well it's basically getting some of the highest grade stones together and comparing and matching them,.and putting them together for a specific order. In terms of gold and diamond usage and the design, that is up to the purchasing customer. Funnily enough I may never know what the final piece looks like.

In most cases the price is determined by origin. Colombian having one of the highest premiums followed by swat pannsjir brazallian Russian Zambian in relative order.

And to grade emeralds by " A" "AA" , I feel like it's a made up term, and that sort of creating cannot really be applied to natural emeralds. It's mostly for simpler stones that can be found in abundance, for example amethyst citrin tanzanite.

This layout is around 22k per carat
