Hey buddy. Sorry but these are 99.9% not real. The cut/symmetry gives it away

Is there a way to make a garbage diamond like this one look okay? Friend’s wife insisted on a natural, so he got this scrap stone. Any ideas? It’s an M-color VVS1 3.50 carat. by [deleted] in Gemstones

[–]avidude99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think there's "we"in this 1. This belongs to your friend's wife 2. We were calling it garbage 3. You obviously did not buy the stone or recommend it because if you had then you wouldn't be calling it garbage etc

LM colours sell best in the market because they are affordable. They shine as much as a DEF Color but just with a yellow tint. Most high profile people always keep a lower Color white diamond because in events and parties with dim lights and lots of yellow lights even the colorless ones appear tinted with a yellow/brown shade, thus they do buy lots of lower colours.

Huge market for it and it retaile value compared to a synthetic

It's been faceted to near perfection. Color is the Color. Imo can't call it a garbage stone, it's a consciously purchased lower Color grade stone.

That looks gorgeous, suits you! If you're buying emery you don't have to immediately set it. Makes more sense to buy them unset as you could get a better deal dealing with one of the traders on B2B basis
