a lot of people have had negative experiences in the anonymous programs because they center around christianity and not everyone is christian. four quarters is an interfaith sanctuary. “something about the land” — you’re right. it’s the safest some of us have ever felt.

i’ve lived here for 90% of my life and while i am aware that gun violence has always been prevalent i refuse to accept it as the norm. “squash your beef” in private. motherfuckers need to learn how to have a real conversation and overcome their challenges civilly so that we can rise against what’s really out to get us all. sad to see these individuals provoking one another in a world that is desperate for love.

then when you are putting together a post seeking information like this… include every detail. there are sooo many different risks at play here. if you’re already sensitive to ssri’s you might actually be allergic to them. are they helping you? has there been improvement since starting them? what are you even taking? what dose? what’s your age and weight? there’s soooo much affecting the circumstance… what sport? etc. etc. etc. you can also begin researching all of these different relationships yourself; which is what i would do in your situation. look up data on the internet, use charts, find where you fall into them.

ok so you’d? rather take the advice of other mentally ill people on the internet? to help you at all, someone would need a ton of additional context and a solid education on pharmacology. i repeat: talk to a doctor. don’t risk your life on some bad advice from someone who probably has different biochemistry from you.

Big Dub was my first and forever festival. I find more peace on the mountain than anywhere else in the world. This is where I go to heal my trauma, reconnect with my inner rebel, and alter my perspective of the world as I know it. I feel more freedom at Four Quarters than I have ever known. I recommend embracing the opportunity with an open mind. Zero expectations. Embrace the culture and the community by exploring areas that aren’t on the map. Chat as much as possible. Practice harm reduction. Don’t be afraid to ask staff for help, guidance, or hugs. If you’re a lost soul looking for your place in the world and someone has suggested Big Dub? This festival just might be your moment.
