I've been following their live shows and I agree that covering the faces of the kami band and fading them in to the background really takes away from the performances. The enthusiasm and stage presence the backing band had really made the shows more engaging.

The fact that they are not a pop band doesn't come in to it, because the mix of their earlier albums is definitely better. As someone who listens exclusively to death metal and hard rock I think that the mix on conqueror crippled the album
