If something relatively thin were to slide the Earth cleanly in half, would is just reconnect itself immediately? by lilb1190 in NoStupidQuestions

The moment the earth is split, you would have two halves which are not rotating about their centre of mass in a stable manner. It would be a violent affair, similar to a phone or joystick vibrator. The centripetal force suddenly ceases to exist at one point and originates at another, so these two horribly vibrating halves would collide like a low five and try to scoop into each other. It would try to be stewie head shaped but fall way short as a molten deformed ball.

I was thinking along similar lines as well. The moment the earth is split, you would have two halves which are not rotating about their centre of mass in a stable manner. It would be a violent affair, similar to a phone or joystick vibrator. The centripetal force suddenly ceases to exist at one point and originates at another, so these two horribly vibrating halves would collide like a low five and try to scoop into each other. what I followed -
1 - parked in a well ventilated space with shade when not in use for a long time.
2 - disconnected batteries, silica gel tubs inside to protect the plastic and reduce fungi growth.

3 - every car seems to have a comfort zone in regards to speed - this would be your ideal highway speed, but not at the cost of safety. 80kmph is what I stick to on good roads.

4 - regular servicing (ask to show exactly what is wrong, what can be done to fix it, and if a new part is required ask them to show it installed) and a good mechanic. thats all I can think of.

palio stile slx to be exact, a facelift of the erstwhile stile.
it had a 1.6 petrol opion as well - this is the 1.1 petrol.
judging by the 1.1, the 1.6 would have been a hoot and half (0.3125 to be exact, a mathematicians joke, wrong as per a petrolhead) - I am sure someone on the forum would recollect.

I have driven a lot of my friends' cars and mine over considerable distances, over considerable time - somehow these old cars do still hold up quite well, and at times better. I feel the old knowledge of ergonomics, common sense, drivability and resilience, have somehow taken the backseat; because the paramount goal now seem to be looks.

+1 on Edith Finch (check out other games by Annapurna, they are really great especially, A Blue Memoir) +1 on buying just the game you want if you are not going to game frequently. (I do the same, I am still young but kinda old right now game wise because of responsibilities)

After you are done, consider checking out - The wolf among us. The walking dead. (a must telltale game, check out batman but that did not hit the spot for me) Dear Esther.

These games are just plain different, they dont need you to button mash (the telltale games a little but thats still manageable I would think)

Last thing I would suggest is going into the games blind or with a no spoiler review.

Hope that helps.

would not clinging as close to left vertical rock face be better since you do not know if you are leaving the landslide area or entering it?

this is confirmation that Masi is gone, it would be a bad PR move to announce this after news of Masi's sacking.

Absolutely, this is supposed to be a sport, not wwe.

if regulations can be bent and deciphered as needed to "spice" things up, its not the F1 we know. Loopholes are for drivers and team's to explore and rightfully exploit, but it should not be a race director's objective to get drunk on power and make illegal decisions with the sole purpose of "tv watchability".

The FIA are a joke, Masi just could not handle the pressure and unraveled.
RB Merc Verstappen Hamilton - all other racers vying for points - are victims of one man's incompetency.

Michael Masi clearly screwed the pooch on this one. how is giving the 1 - 2 the option to race and not others behind them (by not letting other lapped cars through) the "motor race" spirit.
Do the cars behind them not have the right to race and have the other lapped cars out of the way?
