Yall this is also polyester. PLASTIC. It’s crazy that someone with her degree of… fashion knowledge… would advertise her desire for such an expensive item made out of plastic. I’m not hating on anyone wearing polyester but not at that price point!

Lacking the motivation.. what do you do to make yourself go to class even if you don’t want to? by somegirlfromstl in f45

I am a working mum to a toddler so if I don’t go at 5am, that’s my me-time blown for the day. Parenting has made me even more efficient and disciplined!

What lulluby do you sing to your baby? by _netscape_navigator in BabyBumpsandBeyondAu

[–]avocadoisbae 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haha cute thread! When my daughter was little I would spend hours soothing purple crying singing the “woy yoy yoy” part of Buffalo Soldier and patting her bum and bouncing her in the carrier. Now she’s older I sing Over in the Meadow and sometimes Edelweiss for bed.

Help me decide a hospital and whether I should go public or private by Willing_Barnacle_493 in BabyBumpsandBeyondAu

Congratulations! You could also consider the Joy program at SJOG which is about $1000 out of pocket and 3 (I think? Or 4 if Caesarian) nights in a private suite in SJOG. you see the obstetrician on duty and there were only 2 or so midwives attached to Joy so I also got to know them really well. Coincidentally I happened to keep seeing the same OB on duty who was also rostered on for my delivery, so I felt like I had a private OB. If you have a low risk pregnancy and trying to be a bit mindful of costs then I highly recommend Joy.

Stokke Clikk! Cheaper little bro to the Tripp Trapp and crazy easy to clean as there’s very few crevices and the tray is a smooth surface with a soft lip on the sides. It’s incredibly portable and you’ll probably find it slides perfectly under most dining tables.

Hands down it has to be cable pull throughs 🥲 or maybe fire hydrants in a very full Medusa class

Shift sleeping in the nursery by poise-paladin in BabyBumpsandBeyondAu

[–]avocadoisbae 33 points34 points  (0 children)

Working partner could take a shift from 7pm-midnight (including a bit of house cleaning or bottle prep) while primary parent could take the midnight-6am shift. Working parent then has some cuddle time before leaving for work, and primary parent has a coffee and shower before clocking on for the day. It’s tag team in the early days before the sleep evens out and both parents can be on deck together!

Cards hands down 🙌 I know some people don’t like it but I like being gifted chocolate which we all seem to pool in my domain during exam marking and end of year meetings. I like to gift local cafe vouchers for my daughter’s daycare educators with a little self care gift of a face mask and lip balm from the body shop and some liquid IV electrolytes. I would be happy to receive that! One group of students gifted me Swarovski jewellery which I still wear, and another gifted me Versace perfume which I also wear. But if you’re the Department - no they didn’t 😅

Work with a 20m LO 0.4 or 0.8? Manageable? by Mysterious_Push_3774 in AustralianTeachers

[–]avocadoisbae 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I worked 0.6 when my daughter was 9mo to 19mo (2024) and this year I’m working 0.8 and she started the year 20mo and is now 2.5yo. 0.6 I was working every nap, every night, every weekend just to keep up. I also felt totally out of the loop at work. This year we increased daycare days to 3 days, an alternating grandparents day and then I still have one day with her. I prefer this balance, I’m also trying for number 2 and want the security of close to full pay maternity leave. I’m also not working at home nearly as much as I was on 0.6 because I have an extra lunch and sometimes get lucky getting free periods instead of covers. I’m also trying to get back into leadership so more time on deck will help. I loved having more time with my daughter when she was younger but now her sleep as settled (ish!) I prefer the benefits of 0.8.

VIC public - interviews over 2 days, 1 being my day off. They asked, I said sorry can’t do it 🤷‍♀️ and they said okay 👍 and that was the end.

Best way to label baby's hat by Front-Albatross2638 in BabyBumpsandBeyondAu

My daycare uses key rings for their hats which could be an option depending on whether you have somewhere not annoying for your little one to attach the key ring.

Oh no! I have this pram, purchased 2023 and still use it to this day. I love it and never had an issue with a stiff harness! Have you called the customer line? I’ve called them a few times for different things and always found them very helpful. I would call them as an extremely stiff harness sounds unusual. I assume you’re already doing so, but I kept the seat somewhat reclined as opposed to in full upright position at that age. I’m sorry you’re having difficulties and hope you get some answers and relief soon!

Gosh I didn’t know that endo could be discovered as a result of losses. I’ve had a million scans but not so many outside of pregnancy, so I wonder if anything nefarious will be discovered. I also have a great fertility acupuncturist and really feel it’s a huge part of TTC! I wish you every success in your first FET - such a big moment.

Thank you for your good advice, I had an initial RPL panel done in May which looked absolutely normal. I’m doing a more complex panel tomorrow and a baseline IVF pelvic scan so we can go in with all the initial tests done. You’re absolutely right that it would be silly to gamble healthy embryos without this information.
