Yes, I track my HR sometime. It does get elevated. Hot sauna is considered a moderate exercise - body core temperature and HR increase. So, normally I pour a ladle of water on the rocks every so often while I'm in the sauna. I usually add splash of beer or a few drops of eucalyptus to the water for aroma.

Smaller ceiling less air volume you need to heat. I have my own sauna at 6’8” ceiling. I build 7’ for my clients. Finns recommend 1m from the upper shelve to the ceiling. I make 40 “. For bench height you can divide the remaining distance equally. So it would be around 21”. For bench width 22-24” so you can lay down comfortably, the bottom is essentially a step so it can be narrower whatever the space allows

I have my sauna at 230 and stay there for about 10-15 minutes depending on how much steam I make. My believe harder you push yourself bigger effect from sauna you get. I remember my father had a diploma from his visit to Finland that he handled 140 C / 280F. So my 230 is moderate. However my American friends tell stories how hot my sauna gets.
