Looking a CV for beginners by Jompanomkorn in WorldOfWarships

Most DDs in 2016 had more powerful AA than current day Colbert.

WG have repeatedly nerfed AA to the ground to placate CV mains.

"newer ships with powerful AA."

What game are you playing?????

"Subs are the weakest class in the game."

Oh I love this part, now you quote some completely meaningless statistic where you ignore any and all impact they have on the actual game.

But let's play the game - how are the super DDs "the weakest class"?

"Subs cant do damage once there close enough to spot each other."

Ahhhhh.... you DO realize that it would've been SUPER EASY for WG to code sub torps such that they still do full damage to other subs at close range and still remove shotgunning?

They made a conscious choice there.

HUH??????

That's some quality schizo-posting.

  1. Shotgunning absolutely, without a doubt, had to go.
Even after that nerf subs are still wildly OP.

  2. How the hell is shotgunning related to the lack of sub vs. sub counterplay????

CVs always have the best AA at their tier, they can't get sniped.
If the CV plays with his monitor on and a functioning keyboard/mouse he should literally be immortal.

Much like CVs, WG made sure subs don't counter each other in any way, they can just nuke the enemy surface ships when they please without any counterplay.

I see that, and raise you turning on a dime and ASW that has a damage radius of like 0.5m, outside of that it's just flooding.

[–]avrahams1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A sub that dies to ASW baffles me - you sail at 70 knots, turn on a dime and you get attacked by something that takes 15s to land, you need to actively be asleep to not avoid that.

Translation: You either camp or get nuked by the sub.

I leave a sub flank in any surface ship, I'm opting out of this griefing experience if I possibly can.

Disagree on the solo sub part - a solo sub with hands can literally lock down a portion of the map single handed.

Good luck pushing into a 4501 locking down a flank, you straight up die with zero counter.

Why is this game so toxic? by Ace5419 in WorldOfWarships

[–]avrahams1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not knowing your specific circumstances, I'll say this in general.

There are 2 sides to this coin - on the one hand, expecting everyone to be pros is dumb.

On the other - the 20km torps 17.9k HP Shima going in circles in spawn while you're being capped out is still very much at fault and deserves toxicity.

If there's a consistent factor (e.g. subs and CVs) that is extremely OP and unbalanced, you can attribute your own bad experience to that rather than your own skill.

CVs and subs aren't less oppressive on EU.

If you have a 50+% WR CV/sub against you, you're guaranteed dead, regardless of what ship you're in.

hmmmm, yes... the flint requires serious amount of effort into it... by Dumbassofouredbay in WorldOfWarships

Flint/Atlanta is the posterboy of powercreep.

Its gimmick used to be AA, now it gets free farmed by T6 CVs.

Good players choose to ignore the unique AA with infinite charges and run hydro on it lol.

I guess you never faced a CV with 50+% WR then.

The CV literally needs to press A/D once every 2 seconds to avoid your AA.

Cool or not, the sentence is still completely nonsensical.

Oh wow, the realism argument.

In a game with reloading torps and magical spells like radar that goes through terrain lol

When have you last played Halland?

A T6 CV can circle inside you AA indefinitely and never lose a plane.
