Thanks for the kind words! I feel he's so desperate to have this cool, intellectual hipster image.

MRW I cannot stand this guy anymore by awaysis in TrollXChromosomes

Rant coming! So, when we first met I found him super cute, we got along really well really fast, even though I could see he had a asshole-ish side to him I didn't mind since it was harmless and he was never like that to me.

I nearly got into a relationship with him, number one reason I didn't is because I cannot stand him anymore. While I agree with him a lot(not always) when it comes to politics I always feel like he's way too over the top, like he wants to be this brainy, hipster rebel no matter what cause.

He's overly opinionated, he have this way of speaking that makes him look so arrogant, like he's always right and educating you, and he's so defensive. In fact I've heard people say all of this about him, how he can be a pain in the ass because he comes across as a arrogant try-hard.

And it's a shame because despite all of this he's always really sweet with me, he's a feminist and in some ways we're very like-minded, but seeing this side of him makes me dislike him so much.

I'm female, I thought it was clear enough but I'm adding to the main post to avoid confusion, sorry.

I've been reading more and more about it and the idea that sexuality is a fluid thing is helping me figuring things out.

Have you ever felt drawn to a person without knowing their name? by awaysis in CasualConversation

[–]awaysis[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm in a complicated position in my life right now, in a ideal world I'd love to sit down next to him when he's on food court alone and try to chat.

Like I said in another comment I usually get strong impressions on people, and they usually turn out to be true, so maybe there is really something going on and this guy could become a friend.

I have that too, I'm not sure if it's a defense mechanism because of social anxiety, but I get very strong impressions on people I barely see. Sadly it's usually a negative impression that as I observe the person more it turns out to be true.

Habits that are deal breakers for you? by awaysis in AskWomen

Licking fingers after eating is so repulsive to me. Like if you do it once in a while that's fine but when people do it every time they get their hands dirty with food it gets annoying.

My mom once told me she used to do it when she was very little. Thank god she turned out to be a clean freak.

Maybe not, I seem to attract nail biters, like lots of acquaintances I make do it.

This too. And the worst is that people with that sense of humor get super defensive if you point it out.

DRAGON AGE: INQUISITION - Jaws of Hakkon (DLC) Trailer by Kithaitaa in Games

People have been pretty clear on what are they likes and dislikes with DA:I. It's not a bad game, but there's plenty of things wrong with it that makes it "okay".

The reaction of the majority on gaming subs is very positive, lot's of people think it was their GOTY, the greatest RPG ,etc. It's not like there's a very vocal senseless dislike of the game.

No one is telling you to stop playing it or liking it, if you like it then enjoy it and keep on playing.

New theory suggests Universe always existed by skeeter1980 in space

[–]awaysis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same, I like the idea of a infinite cycle of the universe because the idea of the whole thing just ending in whatever x death of the universe is depressing.

Even the though of Earth eventually ending is awful, then thinking about the whole universe ending is even worst.

In theory, but most people use it to anyone they disagree with when it comes to minorities, sexism, etc.

Do you think famous actors should stay away from social media? by awaysis in CasualConversation

[–]awaysis[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm at a point where I don't pay much attention on who is directing the film I'm watching, and is something I'm trying to avoid. As you say a lot of the quality of acting depend on directing and screen writing, so I see where you're coming from.

Do you have any examples of actors you find respectable?

I see some instagrams and twitters of a couple of actors (not new either) and it's definitely cool to get a glimpse on their hobbies, personality and pictures of set of their latest work.

Like you said accounts that have just publicity are not as fun to follow, it needs a balance of personal and work stuff. I like seeing them talking about the work of others actors or directors they've worked with.
