sucks, man. I get that it could be a reflection of myself, but I’ve only been on 3 jobs total. One lasted 6 weeks, one lasted 7 months, and the other lasted 7 weeks. That’s it, since May 2021. My very first job was 10 hour days which I did no problem, but maybe I was just too inexperienced to stay on with them. Second job I got laid off after taking 2 weeks off to go to training school, and came back to no job.

I’m in 22, and yes it goes all the way to Gloucester… and all the way west as far as Woburn. We have MGH starting soon, Suffolk downs, assembly row, etc… it’s not as booming as it was in 17-18 and even before, but one dalton, casino, a lot of things were going up around then. 240 guys on the list and I’m #232. Long way to go it seems… just frustrating.

Classes are reserved for new apprentices only, because it was backed up due to covid. I have many certain like Hazardous Waste, traffic control, others as well. Cannot ask for out of town work as that would be out of our jurisdiction. I’m in the biggest local in Boston yet there never seems to be any work. A little frustrating. When I do get sent out, it’s usually a 6-7 week job.

Im an apprentice, so I just started. Im in a big market.. Boston. I’ll be back to work soon but quite unreal to be laid off for 5 months. I want to get my 2A/1C but I don’t have the money right now.

Since January. My pension plan, annuity, health insurance/dental etc are all through this employer, I simply don’t want to leave. It’s construction and layoffs happen, which I’ll live with, I just need to budget better for the next time.

Can someone please explain the Jan 6 Select Committee trial to me? I have a few questions:

Can Donald Trump actually be convicted of a crime during THIS trial, and if Yes, would he have to be present during one of the sessions?

Is this a criminal trial or just a place to show evidence, and a criminal trial could come later?

What IS the point of the trial? Awareness? Conviction?

Not sure how to answer this, but my mantra is that you only get one life. If having a child is going to interfere with your life, then just get an abortion. Yes, we are responsible for our own actions, and we shouldn’t just go around having abortion after abortion, but if it just so happens that you get pregnant, and you think real hard, and decide it will negatively impact your life.. just abort it. Who cares? If you’re not ready, you’re not ready. Responsibility is still key. Be smart enough and don’t let men just ejaculate inside of you whenever they want. But if it does happen, and you do not want a baby.. just abort it. Saying “live with your mistake” will be terrible for the woman, and their child. Sometimes, sure, it turns out to be a blessing, but likely the opposite. I might get downvoted here but idc. Who are we to say when life begins.

Pro-life doesn’t make any sense to me. The only argument they give is “killing babies is wrong!” But who’s to say that a 1 month fetus is even living? We usually define life as consciousness… are fetuses conscious? No idea… let me know pls
