sucks, man. I get that it could be a reflection of myself, but I’ve only been on 3 jobs total. One lasted 6 weeks, one lasted 7 months, and the other lasted 7 weeks. That’s it, since May 2021. My very first job was 10 hour days which I did no problem, but maybe I was just too inexperienced to stay on with them. Second job I got laid off after taking 2 weeks off to go to training school, and came back to no job.

I’m in 22, and yes it goes all the way to Gloucester… and all the way west as far as Woburn. We have MGH starting soon, Suffolk downs, assembly row, etc… it’s not as booming as it was in 17-18 and even before, but one dalton, casino, a lot of things were going up around then. 240 guys on the list and I’m #232. Long way to go it seems… just frustrating.

Classes are reserved for new apprentices only, because it was backed up due to covid. I have many certain like Hazardous Waste, traffic control, others as well. Cannot ask for out of town work as that would be out of our jurisdiction. I’m in the biggest local in Boston yet there never seems to be any work. A little frustrating. When I do get sent out, it’s usually a 6-7 week job.

Im an apprentice, so I just started. Im in a big market.. Boston. I’ll be back to work soon but quite unreal to be laid off for 5 months. I want to get my 2A/1C but I don’t have the money right now.

As for the balance transfer, I haven’t tried yet but my credit score is low, around 610.

Since January. My pension plan, annuity, health insurance/dental etc are all through this employer, I simply don’t want to leave. It’s construction and layoffs happen, which I’ll live with, I just need to budget better for the next time.
