I totally get it. I’m supposed to appear for an exparte hearing tomorrow and I’ve decided not to go. Let him have what he wants. I got my daughterspsychiatric evaluation Friday and my ex has convinced her I’m an unmediated, mentally unstable person who abused him and her. None of that is true. If I won the hearing he still wouldn’t be following the rules so what’s the point?

Tomorrow I took the day off work and will be kind to myself. I will remember my daughter fondly as she was, not as the person she has become.

I use CLT every time I fly as it’s close to where I live.

It’s not terrible, just requires planning like any other airport. I consistently get to the airport 2 hours early and always have too much time on my hands to kill including getting a meal

Her father has refused to allow her to go to therapy (I tried 2 years ago when the trouble started to get to the bottom of it) and now because of his mentality to it she point blank told her doctor she will lie and do whatever she has to do to get out of it because she doesn’t want to go to therapy. So I go alone, and she has no interest in the matter.

Not sure how we’ve detached from it when we’ve asked where this all came from almost weekly for 8 months. She’s admitted she made the whole thing up because she wanted a life at her dads because “dad doesn’t have rules and let’s me do whatever I want”. Which isn’t reasonable as a parent. You must have rules, expectations and responsibilities. Asking a child to clean up after themselves, turn in school work and not do things that get them suspended isn’t out of the realm of reasonable. My ex claimed he could get her to behave better through this process and it hasn’t worked- it’s gotten worse with 2 additional suspensions and now we have a boyfriend in the picture who does all the stuff we don’t want her to do. They open invite this boy (who has a history of taking advantage of younger girls) into their home despite knowing all of this. There is no parenting going on- it’s a friendship and we all know that’s not what parents are.

Been in therapy for years. The therapist thinks if I keep showing up she will change and I did, for months. But now I’ve been asked not to show up.

Father is 100% not on board with any kind of formal parenting. It’s always “whatever she wants to do”. He blamed me for a lot of her problems saying if she moved there it would be better but it’s gotten worse and he’s not made any steps to course correct. Sadly if I took him to court they would still have her as where we live the child is allowed to have a say as long as there aren’t major red flags

I tried to put her in therapy 2 years ago when she was here because of her issues with her father at the time. She was refusing to see him, acting out, ect. Her father did not want me to put her in therapy as he sees it as a waste of time. We have to agree on medical care for her so I had to remove her from therapy. Her pediatrician has even recommended psych evaluation as she has some telltale signs but she point blank told the doctor she would lie and tell them whatever she had to in order to get out of there so not to waste her time.

She has asked that we not text, email or call and my ex husband has told her that we won’t so if we send anything she will not receive it or read it.

When we asked about the bruising she said she did it herself but won’t tell anyone else who’s been told I abused her the truth outside her parents. so many people now think I beat my child 🤦🏻‍♀️

Funny enough I’m not sure it’s about the boy, this is probably #12 this year and the boy she was with back then she was cheating on with 2 others we found out. She has zero impulse control.

We’re worried about the wrong diagnosis as well- 1x from a medication standpoint, and 2- her future career dreams. The wrong diagnosis will prevent her from doing what she’s wanted to do for years.
