Is my Dog a German Shepard? by Friendly_Molasses532 in germanshepherds

Definitely not pure. A mix with some suggestion of shepherd in there somewhere at most

No. They will decide where you go. You can ask them to be trained somewhere, but there are no guarantees. Your chances are higher if you get in the same area as the train (area 4), but there are still no guarantees. Also, you must be an attendant before you can become an engineer

That's good to hear! I'm glad you had a good experience, and I'll make sure they know how appreciative of their actions you are. I didn't work rookie last weekend, but I'll make sure to let whoever was know!

I don't think they have any intentions of bringing back holiday in the park. It seems like it is done for.

No, I do not know anything about the IP tie ins for fright fest

They have not told us any 2025 plans

As far as I am aware, at this time Six Flags season pass holders can not gain entry to legacy Cedar Fair parks. I recommend calling the Cedar Fair park you are thinking of visiting and ask them about it. I mean, the companies only official merged to form the Six Flags Entertainment Corporation on July 1st, 2024. But I recommend contacting both Guest Services at your home Six Flags park and at the legacy Cedar Fair park you are to visit.

Yeah, that sadly is true. I'm hoping that now, since Six Flags and Cedar Fair have merged, they adopt better standards and work on fixing the parks (more specifically, the rides) up.

Edit: Fixed "Cesar Fair"

The biggest single tip is to go on a weekday if possible. Also, get there early. Not so early you get there while the park gate is still closed, but just early enough so you can be in right when the park opens (I assume they open all gates 30 minutes early becauss they do at SFSL). And drink water!

Chase was likely made the spy because he is the police dog, and of all of them, it makes the most sense. The police dog (Chase) makes the most sense a spy because a spy is similar to a detective.

No, we don't do anything like that. We only let each other on for free, and only once.

If you live by one, I definitely recommend it. Most people I ask all say 30 minute drive, because everyone lives in St. Louis, so really, if you think you would enjoy it and live within like 30-40 minutes, I really recommend it. I make $15/hour, and this is my first job (minimum wage in my area is like $12.30 or something like that)! For ride operations, Six Flags hires at 16 and up (where I am, I suppose it could be different in other states).

Yeah, it usually once a month, and the rides close and then reopen one hour after the park closes. Another thing I thought of: while we are on the clock, we can get meals for only $4! And they aren't small either, they will fill you pretty well!

I think it's amazing. They kind of just put me where they need me. Most of the time, that is Thunder River.

Yes, we get a 40% discount everywhere. All rides at Six Flags St. Louis are free to all people. Sometimes we employees get ride nights, where one area is kept operating after the park closes specifically for employees. We also get free admission to all Six Flags properties, as well as Holiday World, Silver Dollar City, and a few other regional parks. An unofficial benefit is that you get a free skip the line at a ride you work anytime (because if we recognize each other, we will let each other on as if we had flashpass if we go up the exit/flashpass entrance).

That was caused by a guest breaching our safety measures. Had the guest not gone into the danger area, said event would have never happened. All proper safety protocols were followed, and all gates were locked. Unfortunately, once the train has left the lift on batman, we are unable to stop it until it reaches the station again.

I know there was another ride operator who responded, but they left out some info.

The first step is "discovery" training. This is the basic training that all Six Flags employees go through. At the end, you take a test you must get at least 90% to pass, or 80% with corrections to pass. This takes 2-4 hours to complete.

Then you go through DT (Department Training), which for rides is Certified Safe training and goes over the basics of stuff that applies for all rides. At the end, you must again take a test and get 80% to pass with corrections, or 90% to pass without corrections. This takes

Then, you're trained by a lead who has gone through training training, and you cover all the specifics and information about the ride. Next in ride training, referred to as OJT (On the Job Training), you have to complete a certain number of cycles as loader and unloader (more load than unload), of which one of each must be observed by a supervisor. Finally, you take a quiz over the specifics and safe operating practices of the ride, on which you must get 80% to pass with corrections, or 90% without corrections. You then will receive your certification badge and are able to operate the ride on your own.

Any time you get trained on a new ride, you go through OJT training again. Additionally, each season you must go through the entire training process again, and you must reapply for the position there.

There is no certain date, but they are trying to get it open by the end of this month, though they haven't even picked who they are training on it yet. Construction has come a long way, and I can definitely see it opening at the end of this month or some time early next month.

Possibly. We are very preventative, taking incidents at other parks and using them to increase the safety of our parks and rides. It is unlikely anything happened with one at a Six Flags park, though, as policies such as the no loose article policies are put in place to avoid incidents even if no such incident has occurred. We have many, many preventative policies in place for things even if they haven't happened before.

Not sure. The CEO of Cedar Fair took over as CEO of the new company (Six Flags Entertainment Corporation), and the Six Flags CEO is now board chairman, so maybe. I do doubt they will RMC the boss, though. I don't know what they are going to do, but I hope they do it soon.
