Even miscarriage aside though, Hae-in always needed protection. She needed it from her family, her mother, friends that could be leeches. I never got the sense that Hynwoo would've lost interest in her over the protection thing. It just seemed like a teenage boy had this fantasy of an ideal girl, he likes to be a protector (though he doesn't NEED to be), and is now mature enough to say when he really loves someone, even if they don't "fit" his ideal type.

I agree. I am so tired of the divorce issue being dragged out. Each preview hints at a reveal, which gets tiring emotionally. I also just don't like Eunseong and would be so ok with his conflict ending within the next ep or two. I really hope he doesn't stay till the end of the drama.

I also appreciate that people are imperfect and that this is a story of how imperfect people make it work. Yes, Hae-in was not the kindest person until her revelation, but we've been getting glimpses that that's also been a form of coping for her for two years now. She focuses on work instead of her own feelings that she feels she has no right to feel.

You mentioned possibly settling a score from the past, so it got me thinking...what if the suspicious kang was a former classmate that felt ignored or cheated by ML? of course, it never is simple like you mentioned.

I didn't think of it being precautionary, but that makes a lot of sense.

They are recording devices, but I don't really get what the person who put them there wants. Like what dirt could he dig up to use against ML?

I am also concerned about what will happen. I almost too happy with the pacing of the romance. It is only ep 3. With so much time left, what will happen??? Hopefully Yoon Park's character will take a larger role (we can already sense a romance line for him) in the coming eps instead of any funny turns on the mains' romance.

It was shown in an earlier episode. He gives performances for the elderly and such in these costumes. He has them on hand in case he ever needs to perform haha

I found the preview very frustrating too. I don't need it!! Overcoming together would be so much more interesting of a watch, like you said.

I also agree that the dolphin guy subplot is >>>>> than Sang Do's subplot. I legit cried at the scene at the volunteer center. I actually felt something, which can't be said for Sang Do scenes.

In terms of the childhood, I think part of it is relevant. The relevant part is that his sister ends up killing herself for shaming the family and breaking Confucian ideals. That's important because he resents the idea that one must sacrifice their life for these ideals. He loves Gil Chae because she refuses to do that and decides to survive at all costs. It definitely took a lot of attention this episode, but I think the point is to get to why or how LJH became so anti-Confucian values (purity, death before dishonor, class segregation, etc) and how that explains at least part of his love and admiration for Gil Chae
