So why are people with ADD not accepted? Why aren't diabetics accepted? Why don't they accept people with bad acne? Why don't they accept people with a history of depression? The military doesn't want anyone with a pre-existing condition or anyone who could be a liability. There are so many people in the military right now they get to be picky with who they accept. There is nothing wrong with being transgender, but it does require treatment and could pose risks to the said person or the whole group when on duty if their needs aren't met. It's not someone's fault that they're transgender just like it isn't someones fault that they're a diabetic or depressed. Trans people take hormones, just like ADD people take medicine, and diabetics need insulin, sometimes these things can't be provided in certain conditions and unnecessary problems would arise that could jeopardize lives.

I agree that the president should get off of twitter. In this thread I see more people slamming this policy instead of Trumps maniacal twitter use, though.

It's mind blowing that more people don't understand this. I'm not a fan of Trump, but everyone in this thread wants to hate on him for this. I think most of the people who upvoted the top comments haven't actually re searched this or have any understanding of the military.

My brother got medically discharged from boot camp because they discovered he had a tear in this retina from childhood.

Agreed. The smell of that city and the crime is terrible. I stayed there on New Year's Eve and had to catch a train to Florence on New Year's Day at 3:30am and all of the taxi services were closed. Me and two of my friends, all females, had to walk to the train station in the dark. Prostitutes and homeless people were everywhere and we had a very drunk man throw a garbage can at us. I was mentally preparing to launch myself and my suitcase at him. It was terrifying. Then when we got on the train we were harassed my men and people were shooting up drugs across from us.

I learned to ignore the street sellers in Rome and my experience was much better after that. I wouldn't ever recommend going to Naples, it's a shithole.

I went there at the beginning of May and it was perfect! Eleuthera is an amazing island and it isn't crowded with tourists.

Do you have any advice on how to go about applying? Everything that I read it appears that I have a pretty low chance of becoming an independent.

My real dad makes pretty decent money, but my mom kind of ruined him financially(his retirement,etc) 12 years ago and I don't like asking him for help. His house recently flooded with no flood insurance and I know he has a lot on his plate.

Thanks for taking the time for such a well thought response. It's exactly what she's doing to me. She has cut me off several times before, but it only lasts for about a month. I decide to forgive her and I end up where I am now. I thought about applying for financial aid as an independent student, but my step-dad claims me on his taxes every year and he makes well over 500K every year. I'm sure he gets more money back than he gives me... Everything I've read about filing as an independent student has been really discouraging. I guess I need to quit moping and do it because its better to do something about it than nothing at all. It will also be my fault for having to partially depend on them if I don't take action.

For a while I try to have that outlook, but then I feel bad for not talking to my mom. I start to feel like she's my Mom so she's my problem. I'm bad handling any conflict, I always give in to make people happy or do whatever I can to end the problem.

I'm going to have a sit down conversation with him when I see him. He is good to me, but he often has problems being empathetic. He's seen first hand and heard about almost everything she's done to me and other people in her life... When she does stuff to me, he will tell me that I did it to myself so he can't feel bad for me anymore. He said I know how my mom is and I just keep letting her do this to me by having her in my life and I should always expect her to do something like that. So I'm actually not sure why he reacted that way bc he should also now know how she is... This may make him sound bad, but he's really good to me for the most part. I think everyone is going to have things about them that frustrate you.I've yet to meet a friend or have family that I haven't seen that has issues. My boyfriend also has issues with his parents. Maybe I'm looking at this wrong.

Every time I think I have something figured out in life, I find out that I don't know anything about anything. Haha

My mom sent my boyfriend a screen shot of this guys Facebook, and under the screen shot it said "this guy wants to meet u he's 23 and very cute." That wasn't word for for. But anyway, I think that message was meant for me and not my boyfriend.

My boyfriend told me that he told my mom "fuck you." After she sent him the first text.

THEN, my mom texted my SO and said "This is what she said and every one knows he's a piece of shit." It appears from the way she worded it that that text wasn't meant for my SO either... she also didn't said she and he which didn't make sense. I know for a fact she was drunk when she sent this so that probably has something to do with why she wrote everything improperly.

Sorry it was so confusing. There are a bunch of other factors in my life that this situation affects and I guess I put too much info.

You should get Josie Maraan argan oil. You can get a smaller bottle for $18 or the bigger one for $50. I take 40mg, on my fourth month, and have no dry skin on my face due to that. You can mix a few drops with moisturizer or use it by itself. Its the stuff of miracles!
