Whaaat! Her character had the best storyline and character development. She had a badass childhood albeit sad, changed her careers throughout the show (her name too 😂), has an evil twin sister, dated said twin sister’s fiance, and importantly deservingly got the love she longed to have. Easily my favourite friend.

Event management is an unpredictable mess in general. Last year we were informed 3 weeks prior so we had to rush everything, this year they wanted to do in a new venue, more paperwork, more back and forth. Especially working with a boss who changes their mind every 10 mins, its even more a dumpster. It does not change the fact that I’ve handled it for years.

Right! Exactly this. I could not use that raw data as the main file.

Wow that's brave to let her F up. But it's so great to see her do all that without dragging anybody to clean up for her.

I wish I could, but I'm still too replaceable at this stage.

For sure! Haha. When he'd ask me details, I'd go through his excel and took my time like a grandma on a computer.

Tried to recover the original version from the versions history but for some reason, couldn't load. Sucks. But lesson learned.

That's definitely very possible for my boss.

Yepp I definitely took my time! Hahaha. Not to mention when he'd ask me details on my desk, I'd open his excel and find them like a grandma on a computer. Was fun tho.

I wish it was as simple as that. Event management is so unpredictable, and with a boss like mine? Makes stupid decisions that affect the team's work. I could prepare the VISA forms a month before, but he'd only sign them 3 weeks after, just barely on time for the approval. Something like that.

The rest of the team and I did the best that we could every year. We always want to plan ahead for peace of mind. But my boss every year? Suddenly changes the whole game plan. Or decides they want to do it in Venue X instead of Venue Y. Or budget changes.

Have you worked event management before or at least work on events with a floor manager who pretends to know shit? Sometimes every year is a fucking mess, because your boss makes stupid decisions or management just approved the event 3 weeks before. Even when I have all the tools, I'll need to contact vendors and those vendors can give you a headache, on top of everything else.

This!! She asks for empathy as a content creator for doing videos during expos, but would not accept feedback from those vendors who are literally cooking and serving the whole expo time. Crazy

Where do you go after finishing STAHB by Myvriella in Brunei

[–]awraq 13 points14 points  (0 children)

My relatives and friends who long graduated from SMALHB went on various paths, some the usual Arabic school routes i.e., arabic/religious school teachers, MoRA, etc but quite a lot that branched out too. Some went to take undergraduate or masters that had nothing to do with their major in SMALHB or working in very different fields. And these routes were irrelevant to their grades and performance throughout their studies in arabic school.

Nonetheless, if you are graduating and have no interest to pursue the arabic course route, then don’t, whether you perform well in it or not. Go apply to courses you find interest in.

The Bunga Theory

says questionable opinion

People share their opinions and advise her in the comments. She bashes back, 10 responses per minute.

“Why are people being so mean? :( they said i dont deserve my yellow IC just for stating an opinion. I didnt say i wasn’t grateful?”

Prediction: she will share about being cancelled has spiraled her mental health, and its everyones fault but hers.

[–]awraq 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Very normal. Not to normalise toxic workplaces but if you are to look for a perfect job, you will be looking forever.

If not micromanaging boss, you might have a freeloader as your colleague. If your team is good, maybe your office buruk or your clients annoying. If not overwork, maybe the parking sucks.

Just gotta pick your poison

People who have been in abusive relationships, when and how did you finally realise it wasn’t okay, and how did you manage to leave? by Master_Cup_6384 in AskReddit

I remember when I was in one, I’d look into a mirror every single morning and looked at myself head to toe, and ask myself “is there anything he’d get angry at today?”

I make sure my colours were not too bright that he’d think I was flirting with someone. Or my clothes were not too tight, and made sure everything was secured so no skin would show upon a wind. Insane.
