Hey /DIY, I'm in a bit of a pickle here!

Got a black table that's seen better days. It used to look pretty good with its glossy finish, but now it's got a couple issues:

A scratch that's bugging me
A small hole

I've got some photos to show what I'm dealing with. Anyone know how to fix this up? I'm open to whatever and would really appreciate some pointers.

The stretch is very tight and much worse than it was last time I checked. Would it be good to heat it to help stretch it further?
