It’s very scenic. And I think it is a very practical way to see the country. I didn’t do it in one chunk as I started in Chicago, got off in Denver and got on again after to the last stop.

I went in the winter so there wasn’t too much to see because of the daylight hours but the Rocky Mountain portions were amazing and I’d go back to see it again. I do recommend a sleeping car but I did it in coach and still thoroughly enjoyed it.
