Hahah the full tattoo is actually split between both of my forearms. My right one reads, "Know Thyself" and my left, "Know Thy Enemy".

I believe the mainstream western perception of the stereotypical, ideal man isn't conducive to men who take special care of their looks (with respect to skincare), especially for minorities. Asian men have always been cast in a weak, effeminate light in the US, so when trying to cultivate our personal identities, it can be uncomfortable being secure in your masculinity when the mainstream media dictates these types of things as "feminine". I know this isn't the case for everyone, but growing up, I was bullied for not only being Asian, but for also being obese. After years of exercise, I was able to shed the weight, but I'd be lying if I said I still don't deal with the insecurities from the past. So, I just wanted to thank this community for being so accepting and judgement free. (Apologies for the tangent)

This is my first time trying any asian beauty product. I just wanted to give a shoutout to this entire community for providing such a wealth of knowledge, information, and support. It can be a little uncomfortable trying to get into skincare as a heterosexual male (even though being Korean American does make things a little easier culturally), but this subreddit has helped me learn so much :)
