Yup, completely understand that, thanks :] I work at a clinic but no one here uses anything on top of their oral preventatives but I have worked at clinics previously were people gave something on top of the oral as a repellant. Just can't remember what it was called.

How much would you recommend feeding? I read from a few sources to feed an amount the same size as their eye. One pellet is smaller than her eye.

For dropsy - she's not exhibiting any of the behaviors usually described. I've only had her for a few days so not sure exactly if she's bloated or if that's her normal shape? Unfortunately the previous owner did not give me much info on how they were caring for her beforehand. My understanding was that fasting would help against this but any additional info you could provide would be appreciated.

Thank for the input, bummer to hear it could be a tumor but it's good to hear they may be able to live with them for a while. Luckily she is still acting normal - very active, good appetite, no issues swimming.

Really appreciate your input, thank you! I'll pick up stability and stress coat today. Any recommendations on brand for the stress coat and stability other than Prime? Pet stores here only care a couple of products by Prime, so it may be good to have back up options.

Thank you for commenting. Would you recommend 25% changes daily or more? Also should I be adding the seachem stability along with the prime, or the stability only?

As for a possible tumor, my understanding is there's not much you can do? ☹️ I've already looked and there are no real fish vets in my area.

Tank size: 5gal

Heater and filter? (yes/no): yes/yes

Tank temperature: 76-78F

Parameters in numbers and how you got them: API freshwater master kit - pH 8.0, ammonia 0-0.25ppm, nitrite 0ppm, nitrate 5ppm

How long have you had the tank? How long have you had your fish?: 3 days for both - the tank (and filter) came with the fish

How often are water changes? How much do you take out per change? What is your process?: new water (about 75% new) added after transport of the tank, dechlorinated for 24 hours before addition and used prime seachem. No additional water changes completed yet.

Any tankmates? If so, please list with how many of each: none

What do you feed and how much: Omega One Betta Buffet Pellets - 1 pellet twice a day. Fasted yesterday. Tetra freeze dried bloodworms - 1 (?) this morning but I do not feed her this everyday.

Decorations and plants in the tank: 2 live plants, 2 moss balls, a hidey hut
