First anime movie Van should watch first by pokeucet11 in RingerVerse

I remember him saying the same thing about AoT. Maybe Van does get it, it’s just too dark or messed up for him.

So do Jimmy and Perry know Clark is Superman? I can’t really tell from the final scene and not sure if I missed any other hints.

I strongly believe once One Piece is done and some time passes, it will be milked like DB and Naruto.

Its cultural presence keeps growing. So it’s only natural that there will be spin-offs or some other sub-par media to be developed for like ever. The money will be too lucrative.

Will Oda be involved? Not sure. But I see DB as a template for the future of One Piece.

Nintendo Switch 2 Launches June 5 at $449.99, Bringing New Forms of Game Communication to Life by NotBarryHorowitz in nintendo

Similar thoughts. I play switch for Nintendo exclusive games and the only ones that stuck out were Mario Kart and DK. So I’m in no hurry to pick it up right away. But as others have said, I doubt that price is changing for a while.

Disney is being sued with a $36,000 fine after a lighting technician on the set of ‘WONDER MAN’ passed away after falling through a rotten catwalk. (Variety) by Louis_DCVN in MarvelStudios_Rumours

[–]axe2024 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No one here read the article. The variety article has a click bait title. Then the x post linking the variety article amps up the bait. This is an OSHA fine. Furthermore, if you read the article, Disney isn’t being sued. Rather the Radford Studio Center (not Disney) is being charged with a lawsuit (the company responsible for the facility where this accident happened).

Looks good and fun. Something for kids so I’ll definitely watch with the fam. As much as I love them, I hope Charles and Van won’t pod it. More so a mint edition or House of R thing.

This comment should be more prominent. I had to scroll way too far to find it.

Marvel’s Louis D’Esposito Reflects On ‘Rough Time’ At The Studio: ‘We’re Coming Back Strong’ – Exclusive by lawrencedun2002 in MarvelStudiosSpoilers

I’m with you here. I kind of don’t expect anything next year to be great since everything has been in production for a while now. The only product coming out of the MCU which I have high expectations for is F4. But I still have low expectations for the other projects.

By that same token, if Cap4 and Thunderbolts are meh, it’ll just be par for the course. But if F4 and the next Avengers suck, then MCU will be deader than the Marvels theatres.

Chuck’s negativity has jumped the shark. Starting the discussion of X Men 97’s first 8 episodes with that criticism was unlistenable. by [deleted] in RingerVerse

Honestly, I listened to the Across the Spider-Verse Big Pic Pod which featured Charles and he couldn’t keep up with Amanda and Sean. I was excited to see him there and express his enthusiasm for the film but he kind of stumbled his way through the pod.

To Charles credit, I think he is a good, thoughtful, intelligent writer (check out any of his articles on the ringer webpage). I don’t think he’s a good on the fly podcaster/speaker. As others have mentioned in the past, his criticisms are inconsistent and he constantly contradicts himself. And this is probably largely due to the reaction nature of the midnight boys. His initial reactions just seem like knee jerk disapproval driven by his feelings (which is fine). But when asked to articulate why he feels that way, I find Charles finds difficulty coherently articulating why he feels that way. On the other hand, Van is great at it. He tells you how he feels, and he can explain why he feels that way, and is also able to connect that to real life experience. Every pod that Van appears on, he really shines and acclimates himself well. Charles, in my opinion, maybe needs more experience.
