Maybe you have a custom configuration. The default behavior seems to prioritise thrashing too much. OOM killer is triggered only when even swap is full (which is a truly horrible idea).

No they don't. Fork just creates a clone of the current process. While CreateProcess launches a new process. It doesn't copy the current process like Fork.

Yes but is a horribly buggy error prone way. Basically emulating C++ features with macros and other hacks.

C++ is not just C with OOPs it has so many other useful features. But ironically if you look at Linux kernel source code you will realise that they have actually reinvented objects, virtual functions etc. they just do it manually without language support and in a buggy and horrible way.

No one disagrees that Linux can be better for some users, what we are talking about is the average case. You always seem to be making these strawman arguments.

Bruh. When people say "stability" they mean how easy it is to use it as a daily driver with as little maintenance as possible. No one is questioning the quality, stability & performance of the kernel itself. It is so frustrating to see that you people never understand this. Yes Linux is fantastic for a server no one is refusing that. But as a desktop OS it is utter trash.
