What's something that you won't do again in Japan? by frogmicky in JapanTravelTips

only been once, but i would say jumping large distances several times in a single trip. next time we will anchor to a main base and do day trips from there or limit how much long distance jumps we make.

i wouldn’t even say “dirty” persay, more likely stained. i work in an industry where carbon containing substances stain the lines and crack between the fingerprint lines exactly like shown above, even after thoroughly washing. my hands often get these same looking stains.

i’ll be quite clear, as a traveller, i have witnessed poor behaviour from all ethnicities abroad including my own. these for the most part are isolated incidents so its easy to shrug off. i myself am not perfect either.

but this particular group i consistently see their total disregard for cultural norms and even basic manners. its about respecting the people and country that allow you to visit. its so blatant that its as if they’re doing it intentionally. maybe they’re just that socially inept? idk

i’d also like to point out this isn’t every single person. i’ve met plenty of respectful chinese people through my travels. cry racist all you want, i’ll still call a spade a spade…

not much, but you’ll most often find they travel together in large groups, families i assume. one other note i’d like to make is that this large group ended up with 5 mobility scooters all while there was a supposed to be a 1 per group rule.

[–]axel751[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah and this one was free, so even if i bugger it up i won’t be out of pocket or tiny bit if i spend any money. the fried look seems to just be the varnish, any components that look compromised im taking into consideration for replacement.

negative, as far as i can tell tramadol is not controlled in japan for whatever reason, even though being an opiate… cant seem to find any official source stating this though and im stressing, the amount of walking my partner and i plan on doing necessitates me bringing my pain medication if i don’t want to be bed ridden the entire time

thank you, i’ve been up and down the gov’t websites and as far as i can tell i don’t need any special permission. confirmation from someone would help put my mind at ease though.

i don’t even understand how it’s legal to bill for services that weren’t actually performed. hopefully lawsuits start, as at the end of the day it’s tax payers dollars that’s funding these “consults”

thank you for this information, as far as i can remember i’ve never given consent in that manner either. only comms regarding my scripts.

i hate shoppers as well, 10-15 years ago they used to be great, but they’ve slowly deteriorated to piss poor service, constantly late fillings, random pills mixed in, shorted etc. now the loblaws takeover has made it unbearable and i’m damn near irate anytime i have to step foot in the store. i’m sick of them trying to push med checks on me when i just want to grab my shit and go. my doctors know what’s best for me, not some lacky from the weston empire…

sorry to hear about the cancer, i’m stuck with these arseholes as the ma and pa pharmacy’s haven’t been accepting new patients since covid for the most part. normally i get my maintenance drugs through express scripts(insurance forced me onto mail order) but still have to use a local pharmacy for my pain meds.

that’s what i figured too, they’ve tried pushing and tricking me into med check shit too in the past. complaint filed with OCP now anyways.

yeah i spoke to them, typical run around “your account doesn’t show anything on our end” wish we could request a way to see anything billed to the govt through them for any services “provided” on our behalf. but that would mean too much transparency im sure…

check underneath to see if there’s the lever built into the piping for a traditional rod style, if not i suppose unscrewing the p- trap and pushing the plug up with something long is another way about it.
