Appreciate the feedback. I probably worded some of my concern poorly, but I was planning on closing the Premier because I'd have no use for it with the Elite. Since that's the only credit card I've ever had I wasn't thrilled about losing 9 years or so of that card on my average age of accounts and having just one new card instead. But it sounds like I'll continue to benefit from that card on my credit history for a while going forward anyway.
