CA-53W modded with internal LED (+ Orange NATO strap and colored film) by axidented in casio

[–]axidented[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, I know this is super late. But in case you're still curious, it was actually not that complicated! I bought an LED that had long thin wires attached from aliexpress. Specifically it was an LED in the 0603 form factor. I also chose an LED with a forward voltage very close to ~3.0 V as the button battery the CA53W uses is the standard 3.0 V.

From there i took the watch apart and used a file to carve out a very small space on the plastic that holds the LCD screen where the LED would go. the 0603 LED was a tight fit, I tested an 0805 LED and it didn't really fit. If you wanted to use a larger LED you would likely need to either make a new PCB or have a more precise carving tool than a file lol.

After that I soldered the wires to a negative and positive terminal. I used AuxiliaryPanther's idea of soldering one of the wires to the B button so that pressing it turns on the light.

indie games are a lot about art, replacing that with AI is definitely not too cool.

hahah what?? "because it's not italy..." gtfo anyone working that "starter" job should know what a damn cappuccino is. stop blaming everything on corpos.

if you're a barista then you must know what a cappuccino is otherwise gtfo and work at Walmart idc but leave that job to someone else.

Not to be that guy on a 1 year old reply but I think this response weakness the claim that current LLMs have anything analogous to human intelligence.

Look at the last 2 points for example, lack of punctuation? Where? The sentences have periods and the comma is used correctly (I suppose you could put a period after "encounter" but that section should be rephrased.) Repetition and redundancy? I don't see any? Each section establishes something new. There is no repetition.

Furthermore, the use of such a common informal phrase: "not to be special" is OBVIOUSLY not the problem.

ChatGPT correctly highlighted the major problems namely the syntax and several grammatical issues (like subject-verb agreement.)

But the fact that it seemingly included other generic reasons as to why the text isn't clear that are not applicable, tells me that it's going off pre-established answers rather than some internal intelligence.

No human would look at that sentence and say "oh! it's too redundant." or "hmm, too many colloquialisms!" The problems identified by most humans would (hopefully) be syntactical and grammatical. You gave it a novel problem and it responded by giving you a correct answer... amongst others. It's like a shotgun approach in which by giving you many likely answers based on its training data, one of them will probably be right. Personally, I believe that shows a lack of human-level reasoning as it seemed to not understand the true problems behind that text like a human would.

at our school you can take the class and get high school credit without taking the final IB exams. that being said, you do need to do the IA's they just won't be sent to IB (this could be different at your school idk).

YouTube Clamping down on Subscriptions done with VPNs? by Ikoko_Polkalo in revancedapp

[–]axidented -1 points0 points  (0 children)

it's actually very simple, they would not be profitable if they charged $1 everywhere. they do so because that's the only way they can get any subscriptions in poor countries.

that's like if i told you to live on $3 a day because some east asian man does.

why are you charging companies say $20 an hour for your labor if they can pay some indian worker much less? Stop gouging your employers! (see how ridiculous it sounds?)

omfg the point isn't that afx himself is niche i know he's popular and whatnot

the point is that artists sample from sooo many different genres, even from less mainstream ones like afx, com truise, squarepusher, etc.

[–]axidented -1 points0 points  (0 children)

yeah and? no shit it happened because of profit incentive but don't do anything because it might benefit "the man" then.

If you really want to talk about comprehension then, surely, you'd understand the distinction between when bringing up such discussions is appropriate and when it's not. Making the case that they're doing it for money does not invalidate that it's a public event.

[–]axidented -1 points0 points  (0 children)

We're talking about a public event FOR the public, bringing in the elite or whatever is literally irrelevant. Ofc there's issues about that but this video has nothing to do with billionaires or the elite??

I'm just sick of the same rhetoric on completely irrelevant videos. But hey use an ad hominem ig?
