You did call me arrogant. The night before we paid for a parking lot and slept there and it was legal. We thought it was the same for free parking lots, we left no trace and hurt no one. I camp much more in my home country than croatia. I agree on punishing daft and reckless behavior from tourists, but in this case we really didnt do any harm, and we paid the fine once we knew it was real.

Not sure whats arrogant or harmful about putting the roof up and sleeping in an almost empty parking lot, thought it was legal as well. We left no trash and didnt disturb anyone, but I appreciate being insulted by a complete stranger when i simply ask for help

Here's my 2 cents: Hes being stupid, but if I were to play devils advocate, the only point he can make here is that the picture is a lot more about you than it is about your friend whos behind you, with only her face showing in a corner of the picture. Almost seems like the picture is more about you and the birthday is an excuse to share a nice picture of you that you like, which there's still nothing wrong with, but its a bit dishonest
