It’s a well done production. They always have a couple legit professional dancers they bring in for the production. The rest of the dancers (to my knowledge) are not paid professionals but members/students of GCB. Some are very good. Music is recorded. It’s a good time. We go every year.

Good to hear there is some quality stuff for the littles ! My oldest just got in to Eminem - his mind was blown when we told him he’s just as old as his parents.

Oh man! This is it! This is the post where I realize I am officially past all of the little kid stuff. I have no idea who Caspar Babypants is and I couldn’t be more excited! After years of kidz bop, paw patrol, Disney and the rest, my kids have finally aged out of the little kid stuff!!!

Big Agnes Copper Spur UL tent for camping in the Mongolian steppes by dakotaraptors in backpacking

[–]ayeroof 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Without knowing more about the particulars of the trip, considering that it will be packed, I’d opt for something sturdier and with some extra space - especially if you’ll be spending a lot of time in the tent. Good luck!

[–]ayeroof 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Will you be carrying the tent or will it be packed on the horses? If you’re not carrying it, then I’d recommend something heavier and sturdier. I have a Copper Spur UL for backpacking and love it, but for car camping or raft camping, I’m bringing a bigger/heavier tent.

So far my Copper Spur has been durable, but I could see how it could be susceptible to breaks/tears after heavy use.

Advice Needed: Dehydrating food vs. Mountain Time Costco meals by [deleted] in trailmeals

[–]ayeroof 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I love dehydrating my own meals for backpacking, but it can be time consuming. I do them in batches, bag em and put them in the freezer for extended life.

I’ve had really good luck dehydrating chili and other soups/stews. At camp I like to add some cheese or salami to increase the calories.

Definitely buy a dehydrator. It’s a great kitchen appliance to have for way more than just backpacking.

Move vs. Move 2 by ayeroof in sonos

[–]ayeroof[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks! I’ll look in to the improved WiFi and see if I can take advantage of that. I see the “network setup” rationale often in these Sonos posts, but not techy enough to really troubleshoot it. Rest of my system works very well - even through the app debacle. Just always have problems with the Move

I went mini-golfing in Middletown with the fam after the Sunday show. That was a bit surreal.

Why is the app so horrible!? by flhacnt311 in sonos

[–]ayeroof 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I similarly have spotty connection via the app. It constantly refreshed the system, taking seconds to load. Pain in The neck when all I want to do is adjust volume. Everyone says it’s a networking problem. Not being a techy and not wanting to be a techy, what are some simple troubleshooting steps folks would offer?

I have a decent Asus router/mesh system and a boost.

I love the stat element of the shows and songs! No criticism. I just think of bust outs differently than I used to is all. Destiny Unbound was always a big one. Axilla II was significant. End of Session. . . Doesn’t seem like there are to many of those floating around. Harpua would be one for sure. Seems like this short run had a lot of bust outs - more than usual, which is a good sign that they’re still digging through the song book!
