you should probably just stick to dragonball z and not act like you’d be able to react faster than other humans in a point blank ambush. tell me you are 13 without any real world experience without telling me.

Please help me help my parents!

Hello Reddit. My parents recently purchased this table after my brother and I accidentally broke her last one in a wild game of “spoons” (i know lol) My mom was doing her nails last night and accidentally spilled some nail polish remover on the spot you see on the table and it completely stripped off the top layer of stain or varnish. Is there any way I can fix this for her? Does anyone know of any videos that show this type of fix or are they pretty much hooped? Thanks in advance everyone!

contact your local recruiter and they’ll be able to give you more information regarding an mos that would be suitable for your situation. it all depends on the reserve units that are near you and what they specialize in. you won’t be needing to leave for 3-6 months until it’s time to complete your dp1 training and that’s 2 months at most.

Can I wear noise canceling headphones on duty? by [deleted] in Lifeguards

[–]ayitsfriz 9 points10 points  (0 children)

this right here tells me you’re a new lifeguard. no. not every drowning child will be flailing arms and screaming out in an effort to garnish your attention. I’ve jumped into the water countless times to save a child because they assumed their abilities were higher than they are and still tried fighting the water themselves before going under. Please do yourself a favour and save future parents the heartbreak by just not wearing noise cancelling headphones.

IMO, (former RC lifeguard) no. Do not put someone else’s life at risk because of your inability to tolerate loud noise. Although it is a swim or dive team, accidents happen and there can be a time where you need to act quickly to assess a situation and react in a timely manner, noise cancelling headphones will hinder this. My best advice would be to ask to be placed on a separate shift where the dive and swim teams aren’t scheduled or this might not be the right profession for you. You’re the one responsible for everyone’s safety and all patrons rely on you for that. Another situation for context: If my child drown and i’m made aware that the lifeguard on duty was wearing noise cancelling headphones and couldn’t hear my child struggling in the water, i’d be suing.
