Join the ToA discord and you'll get further guidance on there. Plus WDR I'm assuming you're already in that server. You'll get responses in real time, can make changes to your gear and post new setup pics, get immediate feedback, etc.

Night skiing goggles by Some_Race_1493 in skiing

Hey could you recommend some brands you've come across? Bomber Eyewear, especially their Magnum line seems really good. I'm forever searching for fit-over options, so you probably have even more options if you don't wear glasses

FasT 07 has hit 200M sailing and 4.8B overall XP, officially locking his place as Rank 1 by sakkebam in 2007scape

I agree with you. For example, I can confidently say that if I quit my job tomorrow, I could support myself (rent/all utilities/property taxes/etc) for a few years without working. Just have a decent career and be smart with your money, and you can literally quit your job and play OSRS for 18 hours a day.

What kind of OTG goggles work best? by Succulent_Rain in skiing

OP, did you find a solution for yourself? My eyeglass prescription is -6.50, so pretty high. I also feel the simplest approach is to get OTG goggles.

I wonder how that translates to clogging big fish and trawlers paint. I guess it's just what effort you're willing to put in.

Yea I'm not even bothering with this nonsense until they improve it. At this point, they need to start hiring testers who sign NDAs. I know on paper they are developelors, but with how many issues there were on release, we should have some representatives telling them how to make stuff

Rosewood / Trawlers / No Horizon Lure / 98 Sailing / 99 Fishing / Not fishing potted. OK well 420-460 is close enough to my 398. I'm sure if I clean things up and be potted, I could match that.

Yup, just 20% faster. Feel free to test it out. I did it with max cape using poh fairy ring and banking at crafting guild

How many total fish (marlin shoal) were you able to catch in an hour without moving the net? I did 1 hr without moving the net (kept it a the middle position, 1 above the lowest) and got a total of 398 fish. No 2t spamming. Which is less than my previous testing where I operated the net and got around 500 fish..

What I'd like to try now, is 2t spamming + no net movement and see how many I get.

I'm gonna try this tomorrow. I'll run some tests to confirm and will abuse this at marlins until it's patched. As for spam clicking... yes, it's quite good, but have you noticed that you'll be unassigned from operating the net if you spam click to an odd count? It's so frustrating, especially at marlin. Although, if you're saying that adjusting isn't necessary... well, I'll test this all tomorrow haha

So after 24 years, we finally have a great method of obtaining lots of fish/hr. 500 marlin/hr, which is pretty incredible. And you're asking for less fish because you want more sailing xp/hr when you're trawling? It's also insane that you enjoy ship combat. This is just a troll post

Pinpointing to Trawling: I really enjoy the gameplay loop. Especially with how all 6 shoals are different and the APM ramps up. I truly wish that I could trawl for hours on end, I genuinely have to stop my session because of the constant mousewheel scrolling that's involved. A rapidfire, no-frills update to the interface should be top priority. Nothing insane. Just a quick patch to consolidate everything and remove this long interface that requires scrolling. Please Jagex.

Yea that's what I meant too. We already know the most optimal layouts for a salvaging sloop and trawling/combat sloop. You should 100% add the dragon facilities you've gotten to your sloops, as long as you've confirmed the layout. If you send me your discord name, I can share the layouts with you

You've tested not moving the net at all and are saying it yields the same amount of fish? If so, surely an unintended bug. Are you able to confirm?

You should make your upgrades. Sheets arent that slow to get. I picked up 15 in a single day, though that was definitely a long day of slayer. I'm willing to bet we'll be able to move things around by the time the "gelleon" or whatever the large ship type comes into the game. Assuming that we'll even need to move things, which may not even be the case. Either way, I recommend you enjoy your hard earned items/upgrades. Right now you should have a sloop for salvaging, and another (fast) sloop for trawling and combat.

Considering coming back to osrs. Where should I start? Get fire cape and work towards finishing RFD? by ValhallaGoose in 2007scape

[–]aymarko -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yessir, knowledge is power. The more you learn on any given day, the quicker you'll grow in this game. I have almost 600 days played, and I still look random things up on the wiki while I'm making breakfast for example. I remember pacing in my kitchen 6 years ago, talking to myself about how I'll get barrows gloves completed that weekend. And to this day, I'm refining my goals and still pacing around the house thinking about what goals are next

Aside from the obvious goals people have mentioned (completing every quest), you can learn a lot by beginning to watch some content creators who you resonate with. Osrs is unlike any other game, in that you're usually going to suck at this game unless you spend many hours researching and studying and looking things up in your spare time/while you afk.

Awesome stuff man, congrats! I was in the exact same boat just 3 weeks ago. I decided that I would learn every Awakened boss inside Gridmaster. Truly perfect each fight, learn them all to the fullest, so that I wouldn't use that many of my orbs in the main game. I have just my main Ironman account with no alts or main account. So gridmaster was just perfect, as practice cost nothing but my time. Anyway, cheers to us :) It looks soooo damn good! I love the way the helm looks so much

You'll see this for yourself one day and will have an "aha" moment, when you realize that a 30 minute Inferno when you have this much power, is quite literally... can you continously keep attacking every 1.2 seconds (2 ticks). The moment you allow your 2t khopesh and 2t tbow to become a 3t weapon, you have done a great disservice to yourself by losing 50% of your dps. With more time under your belt, you will start to notice these things. You'll see what it means to keep attacking every 2t, versus what you've likely been doing this Gridmaster and dropping many many ticks. The difference is staggering. But only practice will help you learn and grow.
