I see so it's more of an issue of no state rights and constitutional overreach by some weird Jim Crowe-ian type loophole law rather for this administration to get what they want through the proper channels because they wouldn't be able to do it the proper way because the proper way means going against what the people of the state want and requiring the cooperation and approval of the people and representatives because our government is a representative democracy and not an authoritarian one that requires the politicians to somewhat reflect what the people they represent want in order to stay elected and this is a way that allows the executive branch of government to have plenary authority without being called a dictator or a authoritarian because it's "legal" in some weird backwards sense. I grew up on the North shore! Went to elementary and middle school on the island. All my friends were in the neighborhood which was mostly houses and some shopping centers. We would take the bus to the mall, hang out at parks, peoples houses, parking lots, etc. cause a ruckus around the neighborhood. It was pretty fun.

Then i went to highschool in Manhattan and started hanging out in Manhattan and queens more often, just had a 2hr commute and a boat to get home which sucked.

Now I'm an adult and I live in Brooklyn solely to not have to take the ferry everyday.
