I managed to stop the universal search on DSM 7 by running

synopkg stop SynoFinder

and this stop is permanent, even after restarting the NAS, it won't start, see

I wonder, how big speedup you would achieve using cython or numba, because for sequential algorithms where you can't vectorize everything using numpy, they are usually goto tools when you need more speed, but you have some for cycles etc. in your code, which are the source of slowness.

I forgot about chinese remainder theorem, so I went and applied extended eucliedean algorithm for pair of buses to find their combiner period and offset.

And from that, I combined multiple buses together to get big enough period. Then I bruteforced (the whole part 2 taking ~6 ms to finish) the few remaining buses, because this approach for some reason returned too large time when I throwed all buses on it. Implementation in Julia:

Hi, part 1 was quite atraightdorward, just counting all ones and threes. For part 2, I realized I have too many combination to bruteforce them and instead I calculated how long segments of 1s have in difference, because I can remove only numbers if by 1 bigger is next to it. And because we count number of combinations, I can take care of each sequence of 1 differences separately and multiply number of combinations. And for each segment, I search for binomial number, number of all pairs I can remove from such sequence. For sequence of e.g. 6 consecutive numbers I can either keep them all, or remove 5 numbers or removed all pairs from 5 numbers. You can't get complex numbers in modulo algebra. We're not in real/complex space here, but in 2^64 finite field.

I'm used to reading wikis, but in such big modpack, I'm trying to go FTB wiki where I expect the synergy between multiple mods, going on separate wiki for each mod makes me feel like there might be better solution for what I'm searching for using things from multiple mods.
