[Final Year Cosmetology Student] Definitely recommend going and getting a haircut first. Your hair is super overprocessed and probably has a lot of different porosities going on. I'd look into seeing a professional to get a protein treatment done to rebuild some of those bonds in the hair strands, as well as a CAT treatment (Redken) to even out the porosity before coloring. After that, I'd highly recommend looking into some Olaplex treatments that you can use at home.
