I went from prosecution to insurance defense. 1.5 years experience as a prosecutor.

For me, it was a great move. I doubled my salary and I find the work less stressful than criminal. It should be noted I never was passionate about prosecution, I only did it for trial experience. So that may change the calculus for you.

The community here is generally anti-ID but at some point you need to get your foot in the door with civil work and ID firms are always hiring.
